my brother raved about this restaurant back in 1998 in the San Diego area when I came to visit, and although it was good, I didn’t understand why until recently. Everything is made fresh, the meat, the sauces, presented hot and made to order.

I’ve stopped by for lunch a few times now and have not been disappointed. I get the combo with the flour tortillas and make my own tacos… delish!

I've never had any problems at this pollo loco but today I was served bad rice. I ordered a pollo bowl and as soon as I opened it I smelled the sour smell. I tried a bit of everything to see what it was and it was the rice. I get it, it's the end of the day but how do you serve the food like that? Do they not smell it ? Do they just have it sitting out ? I don't get it.

I can’t speak for all locations but even just a restaurant this location is so consistent across the board. The workers seem to enjoy their jobs and it comes through in the quality of their service and the food. I work up the street and I eat here probably once a week. Chicken is always grilled fresh and food is served hot. Management must be treating their team well to have such a dedicated team.
