As a wheelchair user, I’ve always had wonderful experiences whenever my husband and I stop by while traveling between Camp Verde and Phoenix for appointments. The staff is always friendly, the menu offers great options, and the portion sizes are just right — plus, I can’t resist the homemade fudge and the delicious pies, which are to die for!
The place was not very busy when we arrived for lunch, yet the hostesses were more interested in chatting between themselves than in seating us. Once we were seated and ordered, we waited a long time for the two very simple dishes we ordered. The chili was good but the flatbread with artichoke dip was not. The slices of pie were average at best.
We have eaten at this place a number of times over the years but I have to say it is not as good as it used to be. We stopped for a late lunch (about 1:30) on our way to Flagstaff. We had to wait over 20 minutes for a table because it appeared the kitchen was a bit overwhelmed. My husband had the meatloaf and liked it very much.
