We cannot rave enough about this place. Amazing service and the food unlike anything you've tried ever before. Everything seems to melt in your mouth and hit every note on your pallet. The truffle amberjack was phenomenal! The matcha tiramisu was so creamy and delicious beyond expectations. The drinks and sushi was tasty and high quality. The only thing that would have made the experience better was more attention to detail from the server. She seemed to be preoccupied with other staff.
Have loved Shimogamo for many years. Food has always been exceptional. Unfortunately, prices have gone up so much that we don't go there very often any more. It is usually special, but prices make it a bit hard for us to go as often as we used to.
