“I popped into Modern yesterday to pick up a couple freshly made sandwiches for my husband and I and they were out of this world!!! We got turkey on sourdough, stone ground mustard, fresh vegetables & cheese....needless to say they hit the spot! I'm not sure where else you can find artisan style deli sandwiches on this side of town. Absolutely worth every cent!Not to mention the shop offers a ton of cute little handmade gifts from local vendors. Specifically, they carry these cute freeze dried easter treat baskets I'll be going back to pick up for my kiddos before easter. Thank you ladies!”

“Brisket great, tender and lean, cornbread was warm, moist and served with soft butter! 3 uniquely flavorful and different bbq sauces and delicious iced tea. Service was great and a timely callback to check on us. This place needs bigger signage outside, when word gets out, people will be lined up to get in!”

“My husband and I were on a road trip when I looked up good food and found this one. The ratings were already 4.6 stars, so we thought we'd stop in. Cute little dinner, they had a board with specials "March burger of the month". Even though they had lots to choose from on the menu, I decided to try this. It was seat yourself, and the waitress came right over. She took our drink order, attended to other patrons , came right back to us with our drinks, and then took our food order. I know this is a lot of normal detail, but most places are not this well organized. It usually takes a bit for the waitress to come back, and I was impressed right away! The food came out shortly after, too! I thought that it might just be because it was the "burger of the month," but I noticed another couple had sat down about 5 minutes after us, and their food was quick to arrive also. The plate was big, the burger was big with a lot of frys (hot and crisp!) The meat patty was a bit thin and I like mine on the thicker side with a normal burger, however, with the layers of corned beef, sourkraut and Cole slaw, it was a perfect blend of everything!! To top it off, the bill was half the amount we spent the morning before on breakfast for the two of us!! I will definitely return and tell all my friends!! Well done!!Parking: Lots of parking space! Some with lines, some without lines. Big field in the back to park also.”

Nice drive and the food was delicious!!9/25/20 EDITWAS worth a trip up from Scottsdale UNTIL their extreme social distancing policy started. AZ Liquor Board must have said something or some idiot complained. NOT worth the aggravation now. 2 people at bar, could not grab lunch. All high-tops open, but blocked off. They seem to have reduced their staff as well. SLOW service . It'll be a long while before I return for their Prime Rib and Hot Turkey dinner. I'll just go to the CAFE up the street from them, for now...9/25/23. I drove up from Scottsdale specifically to take my daughter on her birthday and my two grandkids to Lefty for lunch only to find out you are closed due to staffing issues. Seriously.????? You have fallen off my list of favorite restaurants in the Prescott and Prescott Valley area4/3/24. Still the best food up north of Phoenix!!!”

“This was our first time at Thai Cafe. I had Panang Curry (heat level three) with brown rice. He had orange chicken (heat level three) with white rice. He said mine was hotter than his and that he'll ask for five next time. Everything was scrumptious! The owner takes the orders and the waitstaff are younger people. Everyone was attentive and polite. We were gifted a handmade Easter card by a young girl (owner's daughter?), which we loved. We will definitely be back!”

This place is best suited for morning and day drinking with no judgement. My only complaint is a pretty strong cigarette smoke smell. I was surprised it was not that big and more surprised to see there was a tortilla maker, nothing better than fresh tortillas. It's quickly began to get busy as we ordered, so the service got slower, but the chicken with mole I ordered with flour tortilla was great.. atmosphere was super cozy and colorful. Mexican decor brightened up the place beautifully .”

The staff greet customers with a smile and are quick to get orders filled. I have found so many new favorite drinks simply by asking what they would recommend based on my preferences.
