As a local to Flagstaff I realized this year that I so rarely frequent Gopher Hole, however that has recently changed. I stopped in with my family to watch one of the World Cup games and then again a few weeks after to play pool with my partner. Both times we all had a great time, reasonably priced drinks, $1 rounds of pool, tasty food and good service. Nice old bar in an historic hotel. Great beer selection and plenty of seating. There is a stage and they do have bands on occasion. It can get busy when college is in session. Free popcorn!
The bartender with the deep voice really knows how to make a few outsiders feel at home. It's my birthday, it's busy, my party and I mention it once and yet he's checking on us, making sure we're having a nice time and providing excellent service. Highly recommend.
