Great little sushi spot.
Missing part of my order. Was offered a refund but no way to actually receive the rest of the order. What we did receive was very good.

Calmer atmosphere than Karma, same or better quality food, and Taki is a genuine person we always hope to see when we go in.
The only thing I would change is the expanded menu, some items like the curry udon just aren’t very tasty. I liked the smaller menu with less complexity or experimental items.

Hiro's is the best place for sushi in town. The pricing is just right and the food is consistently delicious! The restaurant itself is cozy and inviting.

Hands down the best sushi I’ve had in Flag, maybe ever! The rice was so soft and the rolls were incredibly flavorful, delicious and well-priced. I really enjoyed my experience here and am looking forward to coming back.

I know it's Flagstaff and that being from Phoenix I'm kind of spoiled with the plethora of choices and options available for restaurants that serve quality food, but this place was not good. I ordered the Gyodon and shrimp tempura. The tempura batter on the shrimp was way too thick and I could barely taste the shrimp, the Gyodon was way too sweet, had a strange texture when I bit into it, and the sauce was too runny. On top of that I called ahead to get information about the Gyodon before I got there and spoke with two different people and could not get a clear answer. Fool me once shame on me right? At least they took the Gyodon off... 🤷♂️

We had a lovely birthday celebration for my grandson. He was missing the flavors from home. We had lovely dinner. Great food with attentive server. It was sweet to hear actual music he recognized and sang along. Definitely will return. The eel was fantastic.

Everything was slow about our visit - getting seated, having our order taken, getting the food. The yakisoba had far too much sauce on it and only had a small amount of vegetables. Udon wasn't hot and tasted mainly of soy sauce. Not a good experience.

Had eaten here many times before when I visited Sedona, and had great experiences. Wonderful food and great service. Loved it. However, upon returning this trip, I did not at all have the same experience. At the door I was told someone would be back shortly to seat me. I stood there for a long while, by two empty tables, w/ no one else waiting to be seated at the time. Servers were passing me and looking away. Finally, one of them approached, giving me a most unwelcoming look and asked what I wanted? I told him I was waiting to be seated, and he looked confused or annoyed. He then pointed at the open table by the back door and told me it would “be a while before someone could get to (me).”The table seated after me had their orders taken first. It was lunchtime, and I distinctly heard the server ask if they wanted a lunch or dinner portion and explained the difference to them. But when I, as a party of one, tried to order off the lunch menu that had been handed me I was told they only had dinner available. Going on a hike afterwards I wanted a lighter meal, so I inquired about the salmon sushi rolls I used to eat each time I came here and was told disgustedly that they don’t have anything like that. The server was very short with me, acted like I was an inconvenience to him. I never got silverware with my salad. 🥗 He never came by to check on me… tho he did many times with his other tables. Food took a while, which I didn’t mind, but whereas the other table got an apology for the wait, I did not. When my server was carrying a bus tray past my table, it was dripping everywhere, including on me. Perhaps he didn’t notice. The server brought the bill to the table next to me and wished them a Happy Christmas. He never brought mine. A different server did. My server did see me, however, before I left and did not wish me a Happy Holiday. I felt entirely unwelcomed here today, on Christmas. I don’t think I will be back, sadly. And I don’t think I will be recommending this restaurant anymore to my friends traveling to Sedona… Food may be good, but service leaves to be desired.
