Food was not great. Rolls had stinky fish, old rice and the ratio of fish to rice was very bad. The gyoza was clearly reheated and not good - not crunchy at all.Edamame was mushy(felt old) but fine. Service was great and a solid atmosphere. Also stupid expensive for the quality of sushi. Those prices are on par with top notch sushi restaurants - with those rolls it should be like 1/3 of the price. Would not recommend.

Place is smaller than expected so reservations are highly recommended. Good and cocktails are great. Sushi is fresh and well presented.
Sunset sushi was delicious and edamame was great too. Hubby had orange chicken and he said it was average. Drinks were just “ok” ambience was extremely loud. We went for Valentine's and expecting a bit more of a romantic atmosphere. We could hardly hear each other. Our service was great though.
The food, the wine, and the service were exemplary. You'll get great food, served by staff that show they care, in a great environment.
Food was mediocre, service was awkward and the atmosphere was too loud, maybe not bast music at dinner, not everyone enjoys it and especially so loud.

Upon check in with the hostess, they could not find our reservation which was concerning. But once we were seated the service was outstanding! Our server was fantastic! The hostess stand & management could be better.
The menu linked on here as well as on their website are NOT accurate or up to date. We came to flagstaff for the weekend to get away and it's much colder so we saw they had pho and thought it looked like a cool place. Firstly they didn't have the pho on the menu anymore so we asked what was similar and she said the pork ramen or chicken miso udon. So we ordered the pork ramen. Secondly, our waitress was not very pleasant or helpful when we asked questions, we just felt like she was judging us the whole time and seemed annoyed. Not to mention, we waited 35 minutes for a draft beer and a simple cocktail. We actually got our appetizer and food long before our drinks came out. When we go our food it looked decent but after trying it...absolutely no flavor. And the ramen noodles seemed more like spaghetti noodles...they must be known for their sushi to have such a good rating, overall it was not a very pleasant experience and I definitely would not recommend this place.
Food needs to be checked by RFK. He wouldn’t allow this place to continue serving food. Could be the worst food in flagstaff and I once ate from the front counter at the L motel.
Bao bun tasted like my pork chain smoked cigarettes in prison.
Firecracker was on the level of random gas station in Apache junction.
Ramen… well tap water and frozen veggies are bussin if you in a third world country
This place has to fail.

Very disappointed. We ordered red wine and they only had Cabernet, but I am not sure what wine was that. It was not dry, a little bit sweet. We ordered gyoza for appetizers, but send it back. It was horrible. My husband had pork belly, string beans was not edible. I ordered salmon. The portion was very small for the price they charge and I had to send back, because it was not cooked. The salad on my plate was saggy. The bottom line don’t expect a good food

I used to really enjoy Lotus Lounge, but I’ve seen some changes, unfortunately. Their new menu does not compare to the old one, the waits are excessive, and most disappointing is the small portions. The experience just doesn’t justify the cost.
Restaurantji Recommends
Service was great and food were good enough. We ordered two of their signature cocktails, the mortal kombat and the dragon’s breath. The mortal kombat was good but the dragon’s breath tasted like the dragon hasn’t brushed its teeth in 2,000 years. Wouldn’t recommend.

I had excellent sushi along with the requisite hot sake I always enjoy at Japanese restaurants. The atmosphere is stunning and totally unexpected for Flagstaff or any other small/medium town that I have visited: the Lotus Lounge could easily hold its own in any major city as far as design, atmosphere, and function.
Sure, as other diners have mentioned, the food could shape up in certain areas though my sushi was on par with my favorites in other cities. Another visit and I'll focus on the other entrees.
My interaction with the staff was nice. They asked me multiple times if I needed anything or any follow up to my orders and smiled genuinely, enjoying their work. The chef and kitchen staff that I could see in the long kitchen tucked behind the sushi bar looked focused and intensely on the job, no chit chat other than food prep talk, a good sign in a busy kitchen. Even the Lotus Lounge owner's wife was a part of the active crew, answering my questions and managing details with the other employees. Real attention and dedicated presence......

Lotus Lounge is a fun place and the service is outstanding. The food however is just ok, pretty bland and it is not presented very well. There are lots of menu choices but I have had better Asian/Chinese food. I like the restaurant, but the food is really just so so. Service was fast, server excellent.
