Went to Matty G's this past Saturday to celebrate my sisters 50th birthday. My first visit. The food tasted great, but 8 of the 22 people that dined there ended up with food poisoning. All of us have been extremely sick to varying degrees for days. I spent a great deal of money to rearrange travel arrangements due to this. When made aware, the district manager acknowledged that Matty G's was the common denominator but only offered an apology and to check the dates of their food....read full review
Just tried them for the 1st time tonight….my burger was delish, their fries are CRAZY delish (crispy but soft on the inside) & my daughter loved her buffalo chix salad! Service was prompt & all 4 of us really enjoyed our meals. SOOOO MANY options, I can’t wait to go back to try something else!!

The location is great, right at the Heritage Square, and the service is terrific. The burgers are good but not incredible, and the fries are fresh and crispy. However, the beer selection is disappointing given the options around Flagstaff. The restaurant is small but has good options to watch any sport game. They offer a nice spicy house sauce, but the vegetarian options may be limited to just the fries. While the fries were incredible on a previous visit, the menu has since changed and they are no longer available, which is a huge mistake according to some customers. Overall, Matty Gs Steakburgers remains a cool place with great service, but the loss of the famous fries is a significant disappointment.
