This is like having a great breakfast in a diner in the United States in 1960. And that is a very good thing. There must be 80 variations on omelettes on the menu (you order by the number). And the rest of the breakfast and lunch menu is quite good. The servings are very generous, the way staff is reasonably attentive and is it is a great way to spend part of a Saturday morning. Not fancy, but good.

Love historic places! The Crown is attached to a motel and you could drive right by it. But what a wonderful find. Mike wanted eggs Benny and this is the place to come in Flagstaff. Charming dining-room with a model train that goes all the way around. Mike loved his eggs Benedict. And. “Those” potatoes were delicious. Teah was super friendly, and gave great service.

Food was decently sized. Chorizo omelette was nice but steak omelette was under salted. The train going around the restaurant was cute.Main fault was the communication. One waitress said there was a 30+ minute wait when the diner was half busy, another said we could get seated right away. At checkout there is a 6.5% service charge on all checks to account for rising food costs- dunno why they wouldn’t reprint the menus instead to reflect that when in the service charge explanation...read full review
