Breakfast is good, dinner tastes frozen and prepackaged. I'd go back for breakfast, great pancakes, but not dinner. Ouch.

This place is great for breakfast, service amazing pie. Go on Wednesday! They'll give you a piece with your meal. Lili was excellent in giving us a pleasant dining experience.

My wife and I were very disappointed when we went to our favorite Village Inn location on Bell rd in Phoenix, AZ, only to find it is now closed permanently. We were just there on Friday last week, and no one said anything about it. Then, following the directions on a paper posted on the door, we decided to give another location (59th Ave. & Thunderbird) a chance. Sadly, the experience at this new location was HORRIBLE. Service was spotty, our order was wrong multiple times, and they told us we couldn't have a regular spoon for our coffee because there was a spoon shortage. REALLY? A spoon shortage? The whole thing was so bad, we didn't even stay for our free pie. I don't know what happened to cause our favorite place to shut down, but our regular servers and the great service at our home location will be sorely missed... We have visited Village Inn for breakfast twice a week for the last three years, and now we have to find a new place to meet with friends. ?

Asked for fish and chips and was told they were all out. Then the couple that came in 5 minutes after me and they was able to order it. Then gave me a bs answer that it was frozen from me but thawed for the people couple of minutes later. Should of been up front with customers let me choose if I wanted a couple of minutes for it.

Definitely some of the nicest restaurant crew around. The food was delicious and delivered to the table hot and prompt. We enjoy coming here for lunch with friends.

My fiance and I adore this place as a simple and affordable date destination. There was a long period of time when we would come nearly every week to enjoy some diner classics. It's homey but lively and the food is always the same 5 star diner quality. Also I cannot stress this enough: Free pie Wednesday.

I was generally pleased with my visit for breakfast with a friend at this morning. The server was kind and attentive, the food came fairly rapidly and was made to order. However the serving size was noticeably on the small side and that's what falls short of a 5-star rating.
We were seated right away and greeted right away. Our waiter was nice. He was also training someone. He looked overwhelmed to be honest but he still did his best. It took a while to get our food. When we got it, my order was incorrect so I had to wait even longer. It was free pie Wednesday so my daughter ordered the pumpkin pie slice but it wasn't your "normal" pumpkin pie. It had a lot going on. Lol. Would have been nice to know but I didn't want to wait longer so we just ate it.
