I can’t say whether the food was good or bad since I left before I had a chance to order. Took a table on the patio and the waitress said she would be out as soon as she could. Over tgg he e next twenty minutes she made on visit to the patio and waited on one table. Golfers were stopping in to refill their beer coolers and occupying all of the waitstaff. At the very least this is poor management at most it is telling walk-in traffic that we don’t care about you. I hope someone suggests that we try this place so I can tell them not in a million years.

We visited the Boyce Thompson Arboretum today and looked for a good place to stop for a late lunch. Saw The Prospector was open and it looked to be on the golf course so we headed that way. It's a small place with maybe 8 tables inside and had a good size, dog friendly patio that overlooks the greens. Our server Cassandra, was fantastic, especially when it was myself, a girlfriend, and our two daughters. I was nervous when I saw most of the people eating were golfers and I didn't want to disrupt the place with our kiddos but everyone was great. I was torn on several items on the menu, including a taco salad, buffalo chicken salad burgers, sandwiches, nachos but I landed on two soft ground beef tacos and a side of fries. The sauce and meat were very tasty and I especially loved their style of fries. My daughter asked if they could accommodate a grilled cheese that was off menu, and they were completely open to it. Also, the other little girl with us asked for an open face quesadilla and they also had no issues. The food was reasonably priced and we not only enjoyed our meal, our service, but we also enjoyed other company from guests at the table near us. I would recommend this place when you are in the area. 5 star service.

Had no idea what to expect. We were on our way back to Phoenix from Tonto National Monument. Located on a golf course with the absolute friendliest staff ever! The food wasn't fancy, but it was tasty and plenty of it. We had the chip and trio of dips, a taco salad, and the buffalo chicken salad. They were all tasty! The iced tea wasn't fresh brewed which was disappointing, but I should always remember to ask! We sat outside on a beautiful day looking out over the golf course. It was lovely.

Pleasant and attentive service. Delicious food for a reasonable price. Bright and airy with three walls of windows, comfortable seating with views of golf course. Looking forward to a break in the heat so we can take advantage of the patio seating.

Good food but way to loud. Deaf and drunk golfers yelling and laughing at each other. It's hard to enjoy the food.

Nice first visit. Great service. Wanted green tea but settled on black, as that is what they had. The avocado toast was very tasty and a great value.

Oh wow. For a place attached to a golf course, wow. Group of 6 and 0 issues. Everyone completely satisfied. Special was chili, went great with grilled cheese. Nachos built right. Onion rings perfectly cooked and crunchy. Will be back.

Absolutely delicious! The golfers were there having a seasonal roundup and rowdy, but it was worth it - the food was so good. Suggestion: "the zippy" chicken sandwhich should be a grilled chicken breast, not shredded chunks, imho.
