Normally love Cafe Rio, but this last order they got all wrong all around. Ordered at 9pm (hour before closing), went to pick up order and they said they were “out of rice” for the night. So they “added extra beans” instead. Unfortunately it was the wrong kind of beans on top of all of it. Clearly they were closing for the night and didn’t want to make any new batches of anything. They gave a free drink to “make it better”. They should give the meal free if they are going to screw people over like this. I’m from Utah where Cafe Rio originated and the food and service is always good. This definitely was not Cafe Rio standards.

Normally love this restaurant but I have had issue after issue with this location messing up my order.Today, I ordered a salad through grub hub today and when I received it, it was missing all of the toppings: no cheese, tomatoes, guacamole, tortilla strips or lime. I obviously didn’t order it this way. Literally just lettuce, meat and rice.Unfortunately, because I order through a delivery app, I can’t choose which location to order from but this is absolutely ridiculous.

Third time at this location and its a Great spot with awesome employees however the steak is never cooked at this location. It's always really rare...almost wet even. I enjoy the nice medium rare that the other locations serve. The first time I had to take it home and re cook it but second and third time I decided not to get anything because I really wanted steak. Sigh...

First I'll list the pros. Although the building has had a few tenants, it remains unique and a nice change from the normal to eat at. Additionally I had one of the employees stop by to see if everything was good....that's a well trained individual.Now the negatives and to be honest, it's probably just someone having a bad day. I ordered a meal with double chicken and veggies and received a small portion of chicken and no veggies. The part that really went south was the employee who brought out my food. On the plus side, he asked if I was waiting on an order and identified it was the one he brought out. However I noticed it didn't have the drink I ordered. I asked him if the cup was inside, he looked at me, then turned around and walked to the back. Like....I only asked if the cup was there, really weird to just walk away.Any way, as I mentioned, maybe he was having a bad day. It was unfortunate and just made for a bad experience.

It’s actually pretty cute if you chose to dine in. I’ve only tried the fire grilled and chicken grilled meat wise and they are definitely superior compared to what I’ve had from a quick service place. I personally recommend the nachos or the bowls. Really good and good sized portions for the cost! Plus the people working there are nice only thing is if you want the fire grilled steak I would suggest getting it earlier in the day because the last 2 times i went they were sold out (towards dinner time)
This location is great. Workers aren’t stingy with portions and the place was kept clean and well maintained. Food tasted great too! Would definitely stop here again.
