Gus's New York Pizza & Bar

We are never eating here again unfortunately. Just called to place a order for pick and was denied service. Me and my family have been coming here for roughly 2 years now. We loved the food here. Always had a great time. Never had any issues until a few months ago where I placed a pickup order over the phone for a giant pizza which is nearly a $50 Pizza. The following day after eating my family got sick and I called to speak to the manager and she told me that I had to give her a doctor's note stating that I had food poisoning from the pizza, which in the state is a HIPAA violation. She didn't believe me and I told her that I was a reoccurring customer. In the end she did give me a refund for the food but I did not realize until tonight when I tried to place a pickup order that they had flagged me and denied me service even though I have been a reoccurring customer for nearly 2 years. So therefore they have lost a customer. My family will never eat here again whether we choose to dine in and I will not recommend this place to anybody because the service is now horrible and the manager is horrible and very disrespectful.

You all can do better, I ordered meatball and spaghetti, and garlic knots.. simple. I got rock hard meatballs, under cooked garlic knots. No utilities, napkins, or parmesan cheese. I always give a 2nd chance, and that was it..please do better.. management should go to Taste of Italy in Estrella, eat and copy their food and presentation.

Sorry to say there pie was soggy n my beer smelled like mildew. Definitely order bottles n get the slices rather than the whole pizza.

Really disappointed in the last few take out pizzas. I don't know if the owners have changed since 5 or so years ago when we first starting eating there. The pizza crust is more biscuit like than bread. It was soggy on the bottom. I don't think I'll be ordering again until I hear it's gotten better.

Great thin crispy and lightly chewy crust. Good amount of toppings. Only issue was it seemed like the toppings weren't baked on the pizza full time. I got two slices and possibly the crust, sauce and cheese are cooked first then the toppings added for the last period of cooking, as they did not look or taste fully baked. They were still good and plentiful though. Just didn't seem cooked fully with the pizza.

Ordered pizza and pasta for pick up. Creamy mushroom chicken pasta……said to be cooked in olive oil and garlic with a creamy mushroom sauce. There was absolutely no cream in there and no sauce or garlic to be found! Some mushrooms woth slices of chicken that had each been laid on a grill to heat up. Did your cook quit ? Is the dishwasher no working the grill? The pizza we ordered was nothing like it used to be. Dry thick chewy crust Was not a pizza except that it was round had some sauce cheese and pepperoni on it. Both will find the trash. Waste of money and calories. The place was empty when we picked up our order by the way.

Just had the meatball marinara spaghetti. Over cooked the spaghetti, maybe left over from night before and way over cooked. Sauce has to be canned, meatballs wre tasteless. Onion rings were not cooked enough. Didn't try anything else. For what it is, though, I did like the crust on the pepperoni pizza, was very good.

I live in Buckeye, but I work in Tempe, so I always go to Tempe, and it's amazing. I found out there was a location in Goodyear thinking it would be the same. Pizza dry, hard, & burnt. Just horrible experience will not be going back to that location. ?

Just left here and spent over 80$ and got burnt garlic knots and missing sauces I paid extra for. The pizza was hard. Im disappointed because I have tried this place at the Tempe location and Avondale and normally it is great. Unfortunately, the goodyear location failed me and is conveniently closer to me. The reason mainly for my low rating is due to me being on hold over 5mins. I tried to call back multiple times no answer. Secondly, a hair was in my salad as well. I just want my burnt food refunded at this point. The only thing good out of the order was the wings. I see (YOU)the owner has replied you’re hard to get a hold of, I would like a refund for my bad experience.
