“Lots of complaints here seem to be picking at nits; this place is great. I recommend a reservation, which seemed easier to get than at other sit-down places in the village. With the reservation we were seated quickly and service was fast throughout.
Food is great! Especially given the remoteness and beauty of the locale, I was very grateful to find such amazing food. We didn’t have steak but the pasta and vegetarian protein bowl were amazing. The protein bowl in particular had a lot more flavor than I was expecting; they served it with rich Spanish rice instead of the polenta.”

“Very cozy dining room. Service was great and food was delicious for being in a national park. We went for lunch and got seated by the window looking at the Grand Canyon. I had the lunch special quiche with a cup of their French onion soup and my husband got the spicy sausage sandwich which he really enjoyed. If you'd like to have dinner there I would recommend making reservations.”

“While they didn’t have a large number of vegan options, there were a few. I had the protein bowl with tofu and it was quite good. Updated from previous review on 2025-04-27”

“Very friendly staff. Great food. Quick service. Everything we needed after our long drive from Las Vegas.”
“Our pepperoni pizza and cheesy bread were delicious and service was great! Thank you Naomi for being so sweet and attentive!!
Note for others: There isn’t much to choose from in the village and most places seem to have very mixed reviews, some being very bad. I admit, we were hesitant to eat here, but so glad we took the chance!”
“Clear. This isn't Raffles or Trader Vics... But: it's a time out within a time out, a vacation within a vacation. It's fine ??There's wine, beer, cocktails,... The playground for adults and children next door is also great with lots of games on the artificial turf. Does well. Very fast bartender.”

“Overall great experience and drinks. We had the pork belly (definitely try...if you like pork), duck tacos (these were ok) and the sweet potato fries (I don't like sweet potato and these were good). The service was amazing, everyone very friendly and inviting. Sat right next to the large window that had an amazing view of the canyon.”
“20 Dollar per person for breakfast. Waitress served us immediately (only drinks, food you help yourself at a buffet). They have toast and croissants as well as bacon, eggs, fruits and other stuff. Drinks seem to be included in 20 Dollars p.p.”

“Cheese Pizza was delicious and we didn't have to wait long. Compared to the not chain-restaurants around a good spot to eat after a day at/in the grand canyon.”

“Great service and atmosphere but felt the steak and salmon was overcooked. Also recommend to make fresh homemade mash potatoes for a better taste and plate.”

“We had diner here yesterday evening. As I read some negative reviews here today, I found I had to share some positive feedback. We had different dishes chicken, fettuccini and salmon. Everything was alright and cooked alright. I only had some loose (5?) grains of rice which were undercooked, but the salmon was great. The fettuccini was nice and the chicken was tender according to the ones who ordered it. Drinks can be refilled. Personally I liked the different juices without sugar. The cashier was friendly after ordering and service was pretty fast and ok. Didn't make photos”

“We rented e-bikes and rode the rim with this bunch! It was an incredible experience from the staff who outfitted us with perfectly-sized bikes, gave us a quick tutorial on bike operation, and recommended options for our half-day on the bikes. We opted for the Hermit’s Rest ride (21 miles roundtrip and mostly flat) and it was PERFECT for a five-hour rental. We biked at a leisurely pace, stopped several times, and even had a quick lunch at Hermit’s Rest. Highly recommend Bright Angel Bicycle Rentals!”

“Reasonably priced breakfast sandwiches, burritos & Starbucks coffee! It opens at 7 am but we got in line at 6:45 and we are glad we did. By the time we got out of line there were 30 more people behind us in line!Tip: get in line early before they even open up or you’ll be waiting awhile!”
“Desert View Trading Post is a great little stop—perfect for a cool treat after climbing the Watchtower! We grabbed some ice cream here after enjoying the incredible views, and it totally hit the spot. The shop itself has a fun, classic park vibe with plenty of snacks, drinks, and souvenirs, all in a super convenient location near the Desert View parking area.
The staff was friendly, and it’s a nice spot to take a quick break before continuing along the scenic drive. Definitely worth a stop—especially if you’re looking for a refreshing treat and a few keepsakes to take home!”

“We just found this place. They had a bit of everything on the menu and a little convenience store/ gift shop as well. The staff is so polite, professional and friendly. The food was great and reasonably priced. The restaurant had a great vibe and we will definitely be back. 🥰”
