“Our waitress, Ashton, was excellent!! We would have missed our Thanksgiving meal if it wasn’t for her. SO grateful that she saw an opportunity to make it happen for us and was gracious and professional.”

“We enjoyed an exceptional dinner at this restaurant. Not originally on our list, we happened to be able to get a table near sunset time. The view was marvelous and added to the total experience. The ambiance, top notch service, and food were all on point. We loved the shrimp appetizer! I went out on a limb and got the elk tenderloin. The meat was tender, mild, and perfectly complimented by the reduction glaze. We enjoyed every minute of our dinner. It may be a chain but you would never guess it was. If you can only choose one upper tier restaurant in/ near the park go here!”

“Very cozy dining room. Service was great and food was delicious for being in a national park. We went for lunch and got seated by the window looking at the Grand Canyon. I had the lunch special quiche with a cup of their French onion soup and my husband got the spicy sausage sandwich which he really enjoyed. If you'd like to have dinner there I would recommend making reservations.”

“Wir hatten zweimal den Buritto und haben uns noch eine Portion Pommes dazu bestellt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und kam schnell. Preislich ist es auch top und die Meng ist durchaus ausreichend. Die Pommes wären zum satt werden nicht unbedingt erforderlich gewesen.”

“Very friendly staff. Great food. Quick service. Everything we needed after our long drive from Las Vegas.”
“Our pepperoni pizza and cheesy bread were delicious and service was great! Thank you Naomi for being so sweet and attentive!!
Note for others: There isn’t much to choose from in the village and most places seem to have very mixed reviews, some being very bad. I admit, we were hesitant to eat here, but so glad we took the chance!”
“Clear. This isn't Raffles or Trader Vics... But: it's a time out within a time out, a vacation within a vacation. It's fine ??There's wine, beer, cocktails,... The playground for adults and children next door is also great with lots of games on the artificial turf. Does well. Very fast bartender.”
“20 Dollar per person for breakfast. Waitress served us immediately (only drinks, food you help yourself at a buffet). They have toast and croissants as well as bacon, eggs, fruits and other stuff. Drinks seem to be included in 20 Dollars p.p.”

“Cheese Pizza was delicious and we didn't have to wait long. Compared to the not chain-restaurants around a good spot to eat after a day at/in the grand canyon.”

“Great service and atmosphere but felt the steak and salmon was overcooked. Also recommend to make fresh homemade mash potatoes for a better taste and plate.”

“Overall great experience and drinks. We had the pork belly (definitely try...if you like pork), duck tacos (these were ok) and the sweet potato fries (I don't like sweet potato and these were good). The service was amazing, everyone very friendly and inviting. Sat right next to the large window that had an amazing view of the canyon.”

“We sat in the Saloon. Air conditioning was to cold. The food was great and hot when served but the last bites were cold bc of to much air conditioning and fans.”

“We took the hermit road tour with Dillon in October 2025. The weather was so beautiful and we were able to see the canyon in a new way. Really loved Dillon’s tour and appreciated all the information.”

“For some reason my app when to buy coffee says my name is Frank. Not sure what’s that is all about. Other than that you won’t see Starbucks on google maps you will have to really zoom in to see where’s it at. Overall nice place”
“Desert View Trading Post is a great little stop—perfect for a cool treat after climbing the Watchtower! We grabbed some ice cream here after enjoying the incredible views, and it totally hit the spot. The shop itself has a fun, classic park vibe with plenty of snacks, drinks, and souvenirs, all in a super convenient location near the Desert View parking area.
The staff was friendly, and it’s a nice spot to take a quick break before continuing along the scenic drive. Definitely worth a stop—especially if you’re looking for a refreshing treat and a few keepsakes to take home!”

“We just found this place. They had a bit of everything on the menu and a little convenience store/ gift shop as well. The staff is so polite, professional and friendly. The food was great and reasonably priced. The restaurant had a great vibe and we will definitely be back. 🥰”
