Awesome experience! 🩷
The trading post offers some nice local art, and houses a cafe run by Starbucks products. The espresso was broken when I was there, and the drip coffee did not taste good.
I bought two little pigs with wings made out of wood, so cute. There was a VERY kind woman at the front desk that wrapped them so well, the fragile piggies made it all the way across the country in one piece in my purse on the airplane. She made sure to tell me how to safely travel with them. Without her care, they would had surely broken. Desert View Trading Post is a great little stop with a shop offering unique souvenirs, clothing, food, and Native American goods, and a basic cafeteria serving ice cream. The facility has plenty of snacks and drinks, and the gift shop remains open. The porch offers rocking chairs with a view, a relaxing spot to enjoy a coffee or soda. This is a nice pit stop before tackling the Watchtower, especially if you’re looking for a refreshing treat and a few keepsakes to take home. The staff works quickly with a smile on their faces.
