About Harvey House Cafe

Harvey House Cafe is a family-friendly restaurant known for its friendly and attentive service. It offers a simple food selection, with no frills, and is particularly popular among hikers for its grilled hamburgers. The pricing for breakfast is unbeatable. The restaurant is cozy and well run, with food made to order and fresh. While there are only a few vegan options, the protein bowl with tofu is quite good. Portions are very generous, with one portion often enough to share between two people. A standout dish for breakfast is the ‘country skillet,’ which many enjoy. Dinner options include a good steak, though some other dishes may be just okay. Servers during breakfast are especially kind and helpful, creating a positive atmosphere, while dinner servers are slightly less visible but still attentive. Despite some disappointments with greasy fish and mediocre burgers, the fries are a highlight. The restaurant’s location in the Grand Canyon makes it a decently priced choice. The waitstaff provides quick service, with food coming out fast—popular dishes include the burger, chicken quesadilla, and the berry cheesecake, which many find exceptional. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy, with good seating. Visitors often enjoy learning about the history of Harvey House Cafe, adding to the overall experience. The hostesses and waitresses are friendly and knowledgeable, making guests feel welcomed. Overall, Harvey House Cafe remains a favorite spot in this small section of eateries.

Food was great and our waitress Katy, I believe, was phenomenal!

Thank you Sara for the great customer service.

For the best experience, ask for a window seat. We went despite the mixed reviews on food and ordered the bison burger medium rare. It was excellent and the fries were exceptional. Service was warm and personable. Prickly pear cider was refreshing and unique.
