I hate to admit that I didn't realize there are still A&W restaurants around. I haven't been to one in probably 20 years. This is a small spot but SO good and exactly what I remember!! The chicken tenders were fresh, flaky, and perfectly cooked. The fries were crispy and hot, and the root beer of course - the only root beer that matters. I wish they had one of these where we're headed but I'm glad we got to stop!
Ordered a root beer freeze and was given a vanilla shake. No root beer in it at all. My boyfriend ordered a real fruit raspberry shake and the employee said we have vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry. When I said he wants the real fruit shake he said we only have strawberry. His tasted like a vanilla shake too with a light strawberry flavor. Felt like the biggest waste of money.
I want to give this one 5 stars but...30 minutes after eating it, my lunch left me like a freight train with bad brakes going downhill and burned on the way out! 4 hours later it finally subsided. Ouch.
