Posting these at every Popeyes location I come across to warn others. And I do mean every.
I placed a mobile order through the Popeyes app on May 20 at approximately 10:00 PM for pickup at Popeyes restaurant #9045, located at 7200 Bell St in Amarillo, TX. The app accepted my order and took my payment. When I arrived at the restaurant to pick up the food I had already paid for, the store was closed — even though the posted sign on the door said the location was open until 11:00 PM.
I never received the food. I never received a refund. I opened a support ticket and waited nearly two weeks, only for the ticket to be closed with no refund and no meaningful contact from Popeyes support. I also contacted the store directly, and instead of helping, I was told they “wouldn’t” help me and that it was “corporate’s problem, not theirs.”
This is unacceptable. Popeyes’ app allowed an order to be placed and paid for at a location that was apparently not actually available to fulfill it. That is a major failure in the app, the store-hours system, and customer support. A customer should not have to fight for weeks to get their own money back for food they never received.
What makes this worse is that other Google reviews suggest this is not an isolated issue at this location. If a store is closing early, the app should stop accepting orders. If the app takes payment for an order that cannot be fulfilled, Popeyes should issue an immediate refund. Instead, I received no food, no refund, no accountability, and no assistance from either the store or corporate support.
This is not just poor service. This is a company taking payment for an order that was never provided and then failing to correct it after being notified. I would strongly warn anyone using the Popeyes app to be extremely cautious, especially late in the evening, because the app may accept your money even when the store is closed — and based on my experience, getting that money back may be nearly impossible.
Popeyes needs to refund this order immediately and fix the app/store-hours issue that allowed this to happen in the first place.
Great experience and food was fresh and hot

I just placed an order here for it to come back and tell me that they don't have the fried pickles that they advertised on their freaking window, they don't have fries, they don't have the chicken tenders, they had nothing that I was wanting to order so what do you guys serve if you don't serve these items that Popeyes normally serves
Food was great, but I had to wait 45 minutes.

Paid $20 for a 2 piece combo and got a super tiny wing and a breast. The chicken portions were too small for the price

$9 for just a single sandwich, nothing extra is beyond ridiculous. Do y’all feel good about yourselves upcharging strictly for “convenience”? you have no place at any truck stop. What a joke.

Im sad. Popeyes chicken used to be seasoned amazing. The last 2 times I spent close to $20 for 4 peices of chicken, they were bland. The batter was crispy, the chicken was hot and juicy, but it was like eating cardboard. Whatever Popeyes did to their recipe, yall need to change it back. Please change it back, please I love Popeyes...

Pricey 2 combos more than $35. Way to much.
Sandwich alone was $9 each.
In there defense the sandwich is huge and worth $9 for size. Taste was good with one exception it had a greasy taste.
If there sides were big enough then I would say the combo price is good. But less than a 1/2 size side, not worth the side. Since we didn't buy tenders and a 3 PC combo being above $15 not sure I would try.
Server was friendly and courteous very nice customer service. Order taker was to the point, order-pay-move on-next could have been a little more personality.
Store was clean and neat very minimum to it, no advertisement or decorations (Christmas Time), dry not a warming place, dry (like the order taker).

Food was good but the ladies packing have no idea. I ordered 8 breast spicy, got 5 breast and 3 thighs. Not impressed. Won't be back.

I don't even work there and I was more observant than all 6 employees at the same time. Super long wait times and then fresh fried cheese bites Luke warm at best and chicken tenders where questionable 1 was good 1 was oupghhh and the third one I had to spit out consistency of rubber and looked as so . So sad Popeyes is most unaffordable chicken at the price it should be good

I’ve noticed a consistent issue with this location compared to other Popeyes restaurants. The pricing here is noticeably higher while the portions are smaller, which raises concerns about fairness and consistency. In addition, the customer service has been disappointing. I’ve repeatedly encountered an unfriendly attitude at the register, while other customers—especially white customers—are greeted with warmth and a smile. The difference in treatment is hard to ignore. I’m hoping this location will address both the pricing discrepancies and the lack of respectful, equal customer service moving forward.
