This is a hall in a wall small restaurant in Holbrook where most of the drivers would pass. We were hungry after drove through the Petrified National Forest and I Yelped the nearby town of Holbrook and found this place. I picked this place cuz they had “Tonkatsu”a Japanese pork cutlet which you rarely see even at topical Japanese restaurants, forget about in this middle of nowhere small town. I really enjoyed their Tonkatsu although they didn’t have Tonkatsu sauce which...
The lady running this restaurant seemed to have an attitude towards travelers. There was nine of us in our party. She seemed overwhelmed with us. It was after 11am and she gave us breakfast menus. The waitress was much better. I guess she just wanted local people that she was familiar with. The food was just ok. I got a chicken sandwich and the half breast could not have been smaller. I guess they don’t raise chickens in New Mexico.
Excellent food and service. Don't miss this stop on your way through Holbrook on the 40. Exit Navajo and go north. Easy off and back on the 40. We had breakfast. The enchiladas and eggs special for me. Husband had the chicken and waffle special. Both top notch! Next time through town we'll stop for lunch or dinner!
