“A couple of weeks ago I was sitting in a bar with some friends and a man and his mother were sitting on the corner where we usually sit. So being the extrovert that I have become in my later years I struck up a conversation with him. Find out he’s the manager of the fisherman‘s Landing in Meadview Arizona. I have never heard of Meadview. I am always up for an adventure and to discover new areas. Anthony was friendly and hospitable at my bar. So returning the favor, I decided to go to Meadview after I jumped into the lake. It was about a 2 1/2 hour ride. I did not mind it was nice to get out of Las Vegas. The water was a bit warm in the beginning of August and the beach area was not crowded. After being at the beach for an hour or so I went to Meadview and found Anthony working in his bar. Really friendly guy and the locals were friendly as well. He introduced me to several people and explain how we met. I had one beer, a large one, and it was only $4.50. I thought that was a great deal because I think the Stein held 25 ounces. I would suggest if you are going to the sky walk on the western end of the Grand Canyon that instead of taking a left and heading back towards Las Vegas you make a right turn and check out the bar. They have a liquor store there is well it seems and a small amount of food that Anthony can whip up. What a great little find!“
