Cajun Restaurants near Mesa, AZ

“I'm sitting at the house with the little woman and she says ' Sweetie, you seem to be getting on pretty good after the cataract surgery and I want to order food or cook something special for you! What woudl it be? I'm thinking how about catfish nuggets and dirty rice. She says she will go to the store and she's going to cook it. She had a bad day and I tell her no, we'll order it and the fun begins. Lucky for us, as I 'm checking the list of cajun food restaurants--A is for but my eyes are sucked in by BABY KAYS in bright red lettering. OK, short story it ain't--I have her call in the order 1. Catfish dinner, 2. BarBCue shrimp dinner, 3. a side of dirty rice and 4. a side of jumbalaya. I live in Sun Lakes and I drive over to pick up the meal and I need my tail whooped because I did not get the bar tenders name who made small talk as she took my money and gave me the order. The meal was so dad-gone good, that I started with the tartar sauce and the horse radish that was prevelent on my taste buds. On the 5 star restaurant scale an 9+. You can't get more than five on the other scale so I gave em a nine plus. WORTH THE DRIVE! WORTH THE COST! AND THE AMBIANCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE....I'M LIKE ARNOLD, 'I'LL BE BACK!' “First of all my food was delivered For my Birthday ? by Door Dash Nice gentleman My Boil Sauce Chicken wings were very spicy ?I liked them‼️ My cat fish was a bit heavily coated but still edible?Fries were bomb and hush puppies were kinda hard. “My boss and I came here for lunch, everything was super fresh and delicious! The shrimp was so good! The veggies and noodles were perfectly cooked and the sauce was so yummy! I wish they would open one by my house, I would be there every week. The service was so nice and friendly, loved the atmosphere too. Bravo!“

“Fun environment. However I did tell the server that I don't eat seafood, and she didn't tell me there was shrimp in the gumbo that I ordered. We had a good time though.“

“If you're looking for your Cajun fix, then try Ocean Trail. Situated inside of the Talking Stick Resort, it could be a long wait to get a seat. I tried the shrimp boil and a bowl of red beans and rice. The shrimp was overcooked, but the spice level was perfect. The staff were all pleasant and checked in frequently
