“Went in late lunch midweek. Had been to the Scottsdale Angry Crab Shack and thought it was really good. Sought this one out closer to home. Upon entry noticed plenty of seating and kind of a cool atmosphere. Not many patrons which was great. Was seated at a table and the waiter came over immediately and got our drinks. I then ordered fried clams as an appetizer. They were very good. I ordered the catfish basket which came with fries as well as another side which I ordered red beans and rice. It was all very good. Can't wait to go back“
“I came here during the Art festival in March 2024 as it was pretty close to my hotel. We waited a few minutes so the staff could get a table ready for us and then another 5-10 before the waitress came to take our drink order. I know they were busy and maybe under staffed, so I am not mad at the wait. My wife ordered a half dozen of the oysters but I am not a fan. She said they were both fresh and flavorful. Both my wife and I ordered individual meals and both had the garlic, butter and baby spice level. There were times it was still hot but good. I prefer to not peel my own shrimp but the experience is still nice. I added corn, potatoes and sausage in mine to make things more filling. We also got some hawaiian rolls since my wife is diabetic and needs some carbs with dinner. The food was fresh and full of flavor and not just the added flavor. We both had a great experience and I would recommend people come check them out. They are a little pricey but that will be different for everyone. If seafood is your thing, check them out and if not, then you might want to find a different spot. The area they are located in is full of various restaurants, bars and places to get quick bites. They are also very close to ASU Tempe.“
“Fantastic new find for us. we had the shrimp etoufee which was amazing. So authentic and flavorful.. The chicken wings "dankenstein style" were dry rubbed and had am amazing blend of spices. I def believe there was some creole seasoning combined with a tiny bit if faunt sweetness. Seasoned perfectly... honestly my favorite wings ever. not 1 bit greasy, glistening inside. Just crazy. My wife had the chicken Salad which sounds boring, but not this chicken salad. Great service. Friendly owner who was mentored by our fave Cali soul food chef. Just crazy good. We will be back... prob on Wing Wed again lol. A must try. 10 out of 10.“
“I've heard of this place but I live too far to get it delivered. Since I was closer last night, I was excited to give it a try. Baby Kay's did not disappoint!!! I had the crawfish etouffee, dirty rice, garlic bread, potatoe salad, and a slice of sweet potato pie. The food was absolutely delicious. The portions were perfect. And the value was on point. I'll definitely give them a try again when I'm back on this side of town. I want to try the Catfish Po' Boy, seafood gumbo, and bread pudding next time.“
“We went for New Years to try it out for the first time. We had a party of 10 that included 3 young kids. Not only were they accommodating but they had our tables set up prior to arriving. That was a plus already. The staff was amazing and very helpful/friendly. While we got to enjoy our family time along with great amazing eats from their menu. So blessed to have amazing, friendly staff to ring in the new year with. They were awesome and the food was great. The establishment was so clean and even had sinks outside the restrooms in case you just needed to clean up. Definitely recommended!!! Also had so many TV’s with so many football games on lol. Great views of the tv’s no matter where you sat.“

I overheard her take accountability on a misunderstanding with the bill of another guest and it was so refreshing to hear; you don’t hear that type of accountability as often! “This is a nice place to eat. Not very many seats available, so there may be a wait especially if you have a large group. The staff is amazing and the food is even better. You may have to wait for a table but you won’t have to wait to be served. The food comes out quick and delicious. I usually go with the oysters, but everything is tasty.Parking: There are plenty of places to park. If you are not familiar with the property, you may end up walking far to reach the entrance. When traveling east down talking stick way, the parking garage is the second left entrance. You can usually park very close to the door.“
“An awesome little restaurant with wonderful service! We got the 1lb snow crab and it was sooooo good and you get a good amount in the bag!!! So reasonably priced! Very attentive staff!! Highly recommend. Definitely coming back if we’re ever back in town“
