It's very sad to see the end of such a big part of our dinning experience for at least 3 decades for my self and family. I hope someone has the kindness to post El Charros recipes. I really am having a hard imagining never tasting their green or chili beef, among many other things. Even thier bean and cheese burritos were amazing.
I'm 53 years old. El Charro has been apart of my family's dinner vocabulary my whole life. From nights spent at the old "El Charrito" with my grandparents in the 70's and 80's, to takeout from the El Charro of today, thank you for the decades of being there. We recently had takeout and the food was great. Was greeted by 2 lovely young ladies and had a pleasant conversation about the old days with another. We really enjoyed our dinner here....cheese Enchilada, relleno, beef taco, all delicious. The menu is basic but the plates were plentiful. The rice is fluffy and not dry and the beans were just the right consistency of creaminess. We also got the cheese crisp as an appetizer and it's probably my favorite cheese chips ever...the home made tortillas are really good.Great service and they seemed very appreciative of our business. Only bummer is the bar/lounge is not open....
