Raíces is an absolute gem. The food is incredible and reminds so much of the island. Cooked to perfection. The staff is amazing. I walked in and they were so kind and inviting. I’m in town for work and I have to travel back and forth frequently to the area. Anytime I am in town a visit to Raíces will be on my list. The Chuleta con arroz blanco y habichuelas is a must have and the empanadilllas are sooo good. If you are in the area you really must try this restaurant!

This is probably tied for the 1st best PR food I have had outside of PR. They have Lechon Asado on weekends! The skin is crispy and delicious, their arroz con gandules are the best I have had at a restaurant (but not better than mom's haha). Their tostones were huge, crispy, and garliky! So delicious! Will be going very regularly now.

Thank you to Raices Restaurant. I went in yesterday to get some comfort food for a friend who is losing his wife. I have no experience with Puerto Rican food, nor can I pronounce it correctly. The very kind and patient man that took my order helped me pick the perfect meal. The Pastellitos de Carne. My friend said it tasted like his grandmother's, and that they were perfection. I found them to be entirely delicious, and will return whenever I'm on the Valley. ...
