I have been a regular Tom's customer for at least 20 years. They have always been generous with the meat on their sandwiches, and it has has been moist and tender. I considered them one of my top 3 barbeque places in Arizona. My last visit on 9/17/26 was different. There was probably 50% less meat than usual on my pulled pork sandwich and the meat was dry. They seem to be under new management, and trying to increase their profit margin by cutting quality and portions....

Stopped by Tom’s BBQ East Mesa today with my wife and friends and had a great experience!

Although it’s typically counter service, we were greeted when we walked in and told to sit anywhere we liked. One of the staff members came over, took our drink and food orders, and was incredibly attentive throughout our entire meal. I regret not catching his name because he definitely deserves recognition for the great service.

I am from Chicago. I used to go to Roma‘s all the time. This is right up there. If you do not go here I’m sorry you’re missing out very authentic love the servers. They know me by name. I bring my two kids and we eat here a lot highly recommend.
