Sawmill Run Restaurant

The prices were a bit high in my opinion . I paid 18 bucks for a cheese sandwich. No sides included. 2 sandwiches, 2cups of soup and 2 drinks were 77 bucks. Ouch 🤕 However, I loved the location and the server was friendly.

We love the Sawmill Run and usually bring our out of town Tucson guests here! Order at the front and sit down with a number to be served. The food is great (especially the chili), and the burgers and grilled cheese great. The beer is cold, and the real wood fire is cozy and the views are nice from the outside patio. The staff is young and friendly. Make the drive, get into the cool air and do a hike through “town” (it’s only a few blocks long)!

I’ve eaten at Sawmill Run before and had a good experience, but this visit was disappointing. I ordered the truffle burger and honestly expected more for the price — it came with very few condiments and just felt underwhelming overall. The flavors didn’t stand out the way they should for something described as “truffle.” On the plus side, the smokehouse fries were really good, crispy and flavorful. I know this place can do better, but this meal missed the mark.

Came up for a job opportunity at the gift shop and was told the closest restrooms were at the restaurant and community center so we drove up and got out at restaurant to use the restroom where we were stopped by a lady who wasn't very polite tell us if we're not ordering we can't use the restroom, mind u we on on top of mt lemon where restroom are already limited. And tells me to go use the pota potty across the street. Mayb if u greeted us and welcomed us in we would have stayed to eat after using the restroom but , with How we we approached so rudely we jus left. Small community i get but have some common courtesy. For your guests. The gift shop lady I spoke with about the job opportunity came off a little rude to but I let it go thinking its just cause she was busy, she stated she was making fudge. Then encountering this at restaurant right after. Customer service is the key !

If your heading up to Mt Lemmon for a day trip or weekend. The Sawmill is always a great option. Wonderful patio and indoor dinning areas. We always love it when there is live music. Food and service is great.

There is a menu item for everyone! The cornbread and chili was a hit at our table and the burger was really good! Service was great and we sat on the patio where the view was immaculate!

Revisited since above review and just in love with the creativity of their menu. Plus they had a couple great brews from Slowbody Brewery. Always a great experience.
