Gorgeous views, great food and service.
My son had elk chilli for the first time and loved it. I had a quinoa dish that I can’t find on the online menu but was excellent. My daughter had the big kids grilled cheese and it was delicious- never had a grilled cheese sandwich with carmalized onions before- delicious! Can’t beat the ambiance. Loved it.
The minute after you make a reservation at the Lodge, make a reservation at the Dining Room for dinner. The food is great. The service is great. The atmosphere is great. Once you finish dinner, go out on the patio and watch the sunset.
The restaurant is much much better thanbthe one in the south rim and has amazing view over the canyon.
Was nervous because of the reviews, but the staff was so friendly and the food was so good!!
We stayed 4 nights at the North Rim, and most of our meals were in the Dining Room. This is 5-star dining, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon. Food and service were excellent. Food in ample portions and wonderful taste. For variety, we frequently opted for the breakfast buffet. No lack of menu items for children. Crystal Creek Trout was my dinner favorite. But it was the wonderful, courteous service that brought everything together. All the staff were friendly, interactive with children as well as adults, knowledgeable, and helpful. It was fun and interesting to chat with them, sharing our daily experiences and learning more about them and their experiences working at the park. Dining room staff often pointed out things of interest as we viewed the canyon from our table. Staff were very personable and our conversations enjoyable. Thank you to Mitch, Matt, Kayla, Lorri, James, Bayan, and others who made our dining experience at North Rim so very special and memorable. Our entire stay was incredible. Thank you!
The breakfast buffet isn't great, order off the menu, where the breakfast is great. Dinner was good. The view of the Grand Canyon is amazing.
The portion size is small making the food expensive. They offer extremely limited vegetarian/vegan options. Lunch and breakfast walk-ins are welcome. Dinner reservations are strictly enforced so make sure to reserve a table in advance. Tried the quinoa bowl which was so so.
There is no other restaurant within an hour's distance from the north rim. I hope they scale up to support dining in for all people visiting. Moreover, the prices are expensive due to their monopoly.
To end on a positive note, the dining room features stunning views so make sure to grab a window table!
Looked nice, prices were high, never got a seat because of the crowd.
We went during the holiday weekend. Restraunt was fully booked. Ana and Kali were a tremendous help with getting us seated although we did not have a reservation. And Ryan the waiter did a great job adding us to his already busy shift. Thank you
Four of us ate dinner with 4 different dishes. All were excellent. Service very friendly and attentive. I'm not sure about the bad reviews, maybe new crew this year. You must have reservations!!!

Ate breakfast here, Saturday October 12. The service was good and attentive. The restaurant was not very busy. I ordered from the menu as I do not enjoy buffet. I ordered the “North Rim Breakfast”, two eggs over easy, sausage, potatoes and wheat toast. Eggs were cooked to order, toast was good, sausage links overcooked to the point the casing was hard, potatoes were cooked like the sausage (overcooked). Maybe I should have checked out the buffet? The location is great, with a beautiful view of the Grand Canyon.

A great evening in an historic and grand stone and timber lodge, with unrivalled views, great service and delicious food. We had the pan-seared trout with rice pilaf and pasta Alfredo with the optional salmon. Both were excellent as was the server. We had read the mix of reviews, some quite negative, so were a little tentative, but we were very delighted with our experience.

When three of us went the washer was down so we had to eat on paper plates which wasn’t the problem the problem was the food we all got burgers they had no flavor at all and the buns weren’t toasted they were hard as a rock. The fries were cold and seemed as if they weren’t cooked all the way and everyone working that day had it out for eachother even though it wasn’t that busy when we were there so based off my experience not worth the $85 bucks I spent there better off going to pines deli or pack your own food or stop and get snacks at jacobs lake stop where you can fuel up at.

The service was excellent! We had a wonderful server, named Nizameddin, who was friendly, attentive and helpful. The view was remarkable and stunning and that and the service are why I give it 3 stars.
The food was mediocre. We had the Southwest Caesar salad, Arizona Mixed Greens Salad, fries, flourless cake and carrot cake. The desserts were tasty, but everything was not flavorful unfortunately, but it did provide us with sustenance and we are grateful for that. Hopefully the dinner and breakfast have better options.

We came early to get a table with view, hostess said she doesn't give anyone a window table that asks. Had us sit by a table with 4 unsupervised kids. Food was awesome, fish and chips.
