The minute after you make a reservation at the Lodge, make a reservation at the Dining Room for dinner. The food is great. The service is great. The atmosphere is great. Once you finish dinner, go out on the patio and watch the sunset.
We stayed 4 nights at the North Rim, and most of our meals were in the Dining Room. This is 5-star dining, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon. Food and service were excellent. Food in ample portions and wonderful taste. For variety, we frequently opted for the breakfast buffet. No lack of menu items for children. My son had elk chilli for the first time and loved it. I had a quinoa dish that I can’t find on the online menu but was excellent. My daughter had the big kids grilled cheese and it was delicious- never had a grilled cheese sandwich with carmalized onions before- delicious! Can’t beat the ambiance. Loved it.
