Following the hours listed in Google Maps I tried to visit on a Sunday recently. Well there was a sign on the door that says they're closed and there's a comment from the owner on here listing out the newest hours of operation.

Well I can deal with that but I figured that other customers deserved this proper information so I posted these hours which vary significantly day to day as a suggested edit.

Per the info now presented, the hours were verified by phone call (my own edit was not confirmed, oddly) but nothing was actually changed at all to line up with that comment. I can't fault somebody for running on reduced hours yet my time is valuable too.

I just downgraded my review to a single star, not that it will matter. I had always wanted to visit the original location first. The misposting of business hours probably cost me that opportunity when I was in town here the previous two weekends.

The business has permanently closed. The hours have been removed from the doors and all that remains is evidence that the Sunday info wasn't ever even correct. I had once bought a Groupon for a Peoria location that proved to be impossible to use. At this point I think I've had enough of a bad taste to strike this whole chain from my list.

This place used to be great. Used to stop while passing through once a month. The last 3 times it has beee closed during their posted hours. Once there was a note on door saying it would be open at 4:30. A business that can’t keep its hours is usually death to that business. It won’t be around much longer if these are it’s business practices.

I got to say, I was pleasantly surprised. First, as I grabbed the bag off the counter it occurred to me that I had some serious weight in that bag. Driving back the smell was just teasing me,... even with both windows in my truck down. Got it home and my oh my that was some good eating. I'm not one to like anything take out except pizza, don't know what the reviews i read bashing on their balls for, cause these were perfectly cooked, great tasting, spaghetti and meatballs. I offer my review and recommend this to anyone, especially if you want a good deal of great food for a fair price.

Tried placing an order online, but they are temporarily not taking orders. Tried calling the store and went to voice mail and said they were continuing their vacation until May 10th, and the mailbox was full and couldn't take any more messages. I will have to stop in the next time I'm in the area and see if they are open. I hope so, as the last time I got food there, it was excellent. Otherwise, I would have rated it much higher than neutral

Unfortunately, to my dismay, they are no longer serving the payson area. Somebody should buy this franchise where it all began so we can fill our belly with joy again.Great staff and great food.Generous helpings and tiny prices.Cheesy bread is the best.

Shame on Bret DaCosta for possibly stealing another man’s legacy for personal gains. In my opinion Bret DaCosta is an alleged fraud. I believe By the Bucket is not his original concept as he portrays. In Bret’s online backstory he shares he lived in California Bay Area, the exact city location where entrepreneur Mike Garcia opened Santa Clara landmark the original By th Bucket 65 years ago.Mike Garcia’s business model in 1959 interestingly included the oddly similar and specific concept of spaghetti and meatballs served family style in a “bucket”.It also appears DaCosta allegedly uses the same fonts as Mike Garcia once did for his advertising. Three lines on business signage, extremely similar to Mike’s.Extra large meatballs were a signature trademark of Mike Garcia’s. Too many similarities to be random.Located on Stevens Creek Boulevard in north Bay Area Santa Clara California By th Bucket unfortunately burn down September 2017.Read for yourself, and you be the judge.Update reply to owner:Difficult to believe you never heard of the landmark restaurant in business for 58 years called “By th Bucket” approximately 2.3 miles from your old address in Santa Clara at 935 Visconti Place. Approximately 10 minutes from your old mortgage office. Approximately 45 minutes from where you attended college briefly.

Such a unique concept! Whenever we travel to Payson, we always stop in for a meatball sub. That and Old County Inn are the two requests my husband makes whenever we travel from Texas. The meatballs are so flavorful! I also love the bread they use for the sandwich. It is sturdy and holds up to all the sauce and cheese. Yet it is still delicious! They have a small menu, but that's because what they do, they do well! Not a bunch of mediocre dishes. The owner, Brett, is so friendly as well. I had the opportunity to chat with him on my visit, and he is passionate about his business.

Parking: Located next to safeway and other businesses in a strip mall. Plenty of parking available.
