Just traveling through from Phoenix to the Woods Canyon Lake area and stopped by for lunch. Got the shredded beef taco & enchilada combo and it was really good, will stop here again when in the area.
My wife, Brittany, and I love Oscar’s Fresh Mex. The fish tacos, shrimp tacos, and pastor street tacos are all phenomenal. Easily our favorite place to grab food in Payson. Great flavors, fresh ingredients, and consistently good every time we go. Look for their daily specials. They are such a good deal.
When they first opened the food quality and quantity was great but the last couple times we have eaten there both quality and quantity of the food has gone down hill. Don't know if it's the cooks, management or both but my wife and will not be returning to this location anymore. A basic dish like carne asada fries should have equal amounts of carne and fries, the carne should be the star of the dish not a side sprinkle. The sauces don't even taste good anymore....
