So far the best soul food I had in AZ!I had the fish and shrimp plate, came with a side of spaghetti, green beans, a roll , plus a can of pop and cake! Yess, I was full ! Portions are generous, the food is delicious, I’m from Chicago and the spaghetti remind me of home! Nice size shrimps and the fish fried to perfection! Thank you tasting soul! God bless y’all! I’m so glad y’all are here!!!

A little surprised to find out this is a private home. Conversation with the owner I found out they’re saving for a food truck. I hope they can accomplish that. It will help build business much faster. Great catfish and shrimp. Chef Steve and his wife are super nice. I’m visiting from out of town so not sure when I’ll be back, but I’ll try next time I’m in Phoenix. Give it a try!

Best fried fish I've had since moving to AZ! Hit your plate with a little creole seasoning and some Louisiana hot sauce and its a done deal! I think it's a fair price for what you get at $15. The folks running this business are nice as can be. I recommend asking to add an extra piece of fish to your plate if you're HUNGRY. The corn bread muffin was dry, which some people like, but I prefer it softer. I will be ordering again in the future.

I was looking for some home cooking like back at home in Michigan , food was very delicious and you get a lot for the reasonable and affordable price . You definitely can't beat the price and you get alot to go with what you pay for. lts hard to find places that gives you all the sides you get for $15 these days. Dessert, cornbread, pop, 2 sides, fish and Shrimp.

Im from the South.. I wil say that the catfish is the best that I have tried in Arizona!A+ The potato salad was definitely the star of the show..A+ It was incredible..top 3 of what i have ever had... this is what Soul Food is supposed to be..The baked beans B-, Cornbread B- Overall still fantastic meal and great value.. We enjoyed our meal... The owners are great people , warm and inviting.. an overall great experience....however we have tried to call almost every week for the last few weeks and no one answers during the time that they are supposed to be serving... we are unable to even order food which has left us confused.. and disapointed... So once again Phoenix area dissapoints when it comes to soul food.. We were so excited and thought we had found the needle in a hackstack.. the pot of gold under the rainbow..you understand..lol If you are fortunate enough to eat here, you will enjoy it... We have decided to call my sister, who is a chef and ask her for soul food recipes and way of preparing catfish etc .. I will even go to east coast and get the ingredients myself next week. I give up...Ill do it myself...LOL

Their food is very tasty and you get a nice portion! You can’t beat getting a meat, two sides cornbread muffin, slice of cake and a drink for $15.

Was hungry for soul food so Googled & this business popped up. Drove to it & found out it's someone's home. Called the number & placed our order. Within fifteen minutes we had a delicious plate of fish, shrimp, black eye peas, & coleslaw. It also included a piece of cornbread, cake, & soda. All for $15. Char (spelling?) brought the food to our car & she was very nice. They sell plates on Friday & Saturday with a set menu that changes each week. Everyone should definitely check them out. They definitely know how to cook & really should have a food truck or brick & mortar spot.

Finally found some good soul food in the Phoenix area. The fish, black eye peas, coleslaw, & cornbread were fresh & flavorful.

Food was amazing. The chocolate cake was the first thing on top that I ate and it was incredible. Will be back to see what you got next week! They also let me chill on their couch while the food was being prepped very kind people.
