Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant Reviews
The food here is the best Mexican food I’ve had in Arizona and the service was excellent too! We were seated right away and our food came out quick and was very hot! Everything tasted delicious! We will definitely be back! Thank you!
Took friends out for their birthday. Was not disappointed at all. Excellent waiter & food was delicious and timely. Very polite.never ate your restaurant and been living her 27 years. Can’t believe I’ve been missing your place and our awesome dining experience. See you soon & Thank you. Many restaurants make you feel rushed after you eat. Did not have that all as enjoyed one of cheesecakes drizzled either chocolate. Thanks again

Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant offers plentiful and good food, with servers going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Customers praise the large portions, delicious chips and salsa with tomatillo sauce and other salsas, and a variety of tasty dishes such as the Enchilada Platter (The Grande), chicken enchiladas, and tacos, accompanied by sides like refried beans, Spanish rice, and their famous potato-cheese (papas). The restaurant also features a great drinks menu, including signature margaritas, sangrias, and frozen options that are perfectly balanced and refreshing. The atmosphere is warm and lively, with vibrant decor inspired by Spanish-Mexican colonial architecture, creating a welcoming environment. The restaurant is clean, including the bathrooms, and parking is easy and accessible. The service is generally attentive, friendly, and helpful, with staff making thoughtful recommendations. Guests enjoyed the Hibiscus margarita, empanadas, and chimichanga. The courtyard-like feel of the dining room surrounded with colorful murals and sculptures is a highlight, though some miss the old fountain. The tortilla bowl with flavorful beans and fresh ingredients was an excellent choice, and the velvety flan was a nice surprise.
