This place is legit, I am from TX and this beats it everyday. I had the fatty brisket and potato salad…the fatty brisket was unreal! I’m taking my family here to prove Caldwells is better BBQ than any place in TX
I liked Caldwell barbecue, but I was expecting more. I wanted to love it like some of the great barbecue I’ve had before. I’m not sure if everybody knows this, but there is such a thing as too much smoke. It can give the meat a bitter taste. I got the St. Louis style ribs and they were borderline too much smoke. Otherwise, I enjoyed the seasoning and the flavor. Also, I like my ribs tender, but still with a nice chew. These were a little too soft for my taste....
This was our first visit. We will definitely be back. It was so good that I haven’t even left yet and had to rave about it. We will be bringing our out of town relatives here too! Amazing customer service! Really delicious brisket sandwich, general Patton sandwich (1lb of meat!), mac & cheese, banana pudding, and pecan pie. It was so much food we had to take it to go.
