I guess you just can't go by the reviews these days. I ordered two ground beef tacos to go when I got home. I had one ground beef.(which had as much filler as Taco Bell.) and I was given one shredded beef taco, if you didn't have enough ground beef, just put some more filler in the ground beef because I'm not coming back. Anyway Also, I guess it's just me but I don't like lettuce that comes in a bag because it has that smell and it takes away the smell from the food. Yuck. It's a good thing I ordered a bean burrito also that was good and OK but needless to say I won't be going here again, you guys need to know all these good reviews are probably friends and relatives. Lol.

Somethings you should know about ElGordo #9 It is diagonal in the intersection of Cactus and N 67th Ave. It is behind gas pumps. El Gordo is inside a gas station that has a lobby. There is a Chandelier in the lobby. The floor is so clean you can eat Mexican Food off it. Any marks you see on the floor are marks, not dirt. They don't do any mechanical work at the gas station. You can get gas in two ways. Before you go inside you should read the big signs on the outside to your left. They advertise specials. There is no music. There are so many choices on the menu. The portions of rice and beans are small. The food is generally inexpensive. They have a salsa, which is "rough" tasting. It is unique. You should try some. To do that you have to go there. You should. How can you pass up a gas station that has a lobby, a chandelier and serves very good (four star) Mexican food. The experience makes this five stars. One final page out of history El Gordo #9 occupies was formerly was the home of Casa De Falafel

Was in the mood for a good breakfast burrito. The ham breakfast burrito hit the spot! Definitely will be back.

I read really good reviews about this place so my husband and I decided to try it out. We went on Saturday for the menudo. I had high expectations for this place with all its glowing reviews. We were not impressed at all. For two bowls of menudo, served in a styrofoam bowl placed on top of a plate and served with onion and very little cilantro on the side of the plate, it cost us almost $29! The menudo lacked flavor, had very little hominy and I couldn't figure out whether it was canned red sauce or sauce made with chiles but was watered way down. I wish now I had taken a picture of the menudo. The seating in there is awful and since it's inside a gas station the owner of the gas station just gave us the eye as we walked in. Sorry to say but husband said we are never going back there. I would have given this place a second chance but they blew it with my husband. Thanks but no thanks.

Make sure you paid the exact amount. Don’t let them charge tips, when you pay your food. Burrito was $9.95 and total was $10.85with taxes but he added tips without my permission. It’s not the store, it’s the employee

We read reviews on this place so we thought we'd give it a try. This place is cheap and the food is fantastic very flavourful and tasty, lots of people stopped in and it even has a drive-thru! we will definitely be back!

Good quality food, but customer service needs improvement , No way I should be sitting on hold for 5-10 minutes listening to the cashier conversation with customers about where they work like I'm it on the phone literally waiting to place an order.

Best breakfast burrito I've found in the whole state. Super dank carne, bacon is cooked to perfection and their hot sauce hits the spot. I'm from Cali so I know good breakfast burritos. This place takes the crown for the entire Phoenix area. Huge portions, great quality and an exceptional price. Hit this spot up, you won't regret it. Also add beans to the burrito, they smack and make it that much better. Much love.
