Oh my GOODNESS... TAMMY NEEDS A RAISE AND A GOLD MEDAL. We decided to have a little date night at 5pm on a Saturday. We walked in at the beginning of what was a MASSIVE rush of people. All tables slammed full, max capacity. Tammy was moving at lightning speed, never sat down, never slowed down. She was as present as she could be while managing massive parties of people and training a clearly overstimulated trainee. The kitchen was churning out plates like a machine, and they all looked EXCELLENT. Our burgers were perfectly cooked. The pumpkin pie shake was on special, and DELICIOUS. The food at atmosphere are always good, but... the service really just blew me away. She's rough she's tough and she's in charge. And she supports her staff. I can't brag more. Best experience I've had in a busy diner in a long time!

I've been going to 5 and diner for over 28 years, and it has stayed the same minus couple little things. The waitresses are always helpful, and the food is pretty good. It's a staple for Phx and probably always will be. Check it out.

Omg SO delicious! Absolutely got that "diner" taste, that great diner atmosphere, and superb service! Highly recommend their Love Me Tenders, they've got that thick-breaded crumch that we look for! They put GARLIC in their corn, I didn't even think of such a delicacy, very grateful!

i have passed the place many times then i decided as a treat for my half century birthday i would stop in after i left RIP'S Bar before going home and tjey have good food and a great staff
What a hidden gem of a 1950s time capsule! Get a milkshake! They really take pride in making great food at fair prices. Super friendly service. It's a must stop. Open 24/7!

Tried to eat here. Waited at the front to be seated. Never was acknowledged. Other customers walked out before I did. I guess once the place is nearing half full they start turning folks away…? I get it tho…. It’s Friday night around 7pm… someone who works for a living and tips 20% isn’t worth seating. I don’t think it’s racial but I am Caucasian.
