Such a hidden gem of a bakery in Phoenix! This place has been a staple for cakes in my family! We always get a custom cake here and the taro is to die for!

Planned to go next door to the ice cream place and noticed this next door. I purchased 4 items just as they were closing. Everything I tried was good. Definitely recommend.

The cake was ok. Not impress. They don't have much to choose from when I went there. The fruit in the cake was not fresh at all.

Cream puff was very old and tasted stale. Selection is limited. Nothing close to a good Japanese bakery.

4 star: Whipped cream is good. Soft and smooth.2 star: I bought cream puff and green tea roll. Cream puff skin is so dry and taste like paper. Green tea roll only has a very thin layer of filling and the roll itself also very dry…… I guess the 4.7 rating is because this is the only Asian bakery nearby. If you could drive a lil bit far, go try any Asian bakery in Tempe, Mesa and Chandler.

I ordered a 10” Fresh Fruit & Cream cake for my Mom’s birthday. The cake was very good. The cake itself is a sponge cake. It was light and bouncy and not dry. The fruit filling was very fresh and there was A LOT of fresh fruit in between the layers of sponge cake. The whipped cream frosting was super light and airy and not too sweet at all. It was a beautiful cake and my Mom was SO happy when she saw the cake. She had two servings and kept the cake. Normally she would never have a second serving and always sends the left overs home with guests but she kept the rest of the cake for herself. That’s how much she liked it. The only thing I would have done differently would be to forgo the writing on the cake. The writing was a little bit hard to read and really, the cake was just beautiful without it. Next time, I’ll just leave it blank.Customer service is AMAZING! The woman who took my order and was there for pickup was very nice and accommodating. We forgot our wallet and she had Apple Pay so we were still able to pay for our order without having to drive 30 minutes back across town.

The cake was spongy, lightly sweetened and not moist which was fine. Sadly the fruit filling was going bad, it tasted soggy and slight bitter. I did pick up the cake last minute so maybe placing and order gives you a fresh cake. The lady there was really nice so maybe just maybe I’ll call for an order next time.

Authentic Asian sponge cake! Goodies at this place are not as sweet as others:/ They’re as delicious as they look

Not a Japanese bakery, but a cake shop. I'm sure their cakes are fine, and yes you can find one or two pastries that are done in a Japanese style. But they need to change the name and the category because a Japanese bakery it is not.

We ordered a cake for my mother in laws 80th birthday. It was done when we wanted to pickbit up and it was delicious as usual. Everyone asked where we got it from.

The birthday cake is with lot of fresh fruit. Delicious and cheap.

My daughter just turned 21 and wanted a fruit cake for her birthday. She is very conscious of her diet and did not want anything overly sweet. This cake fit the bill. Everyone loved it. The cake was fluffy and the frosting light and airy with ample fruit throughout. So happy we took the chance and ordered from here. The building could use a little updating... but other than that would recommend... very friendly local business.
