Super dope super lgbtq and straight friendly. I met Chino Moreno there! Just kidding he looked just like him though and the guard outside in the Bartender were my favorite people besides my buddy 10 out of 10.
Bar 1 has been my favorite LBGTQ+ bar since I moved to Phoenix in 2005. if you enjoy the patio scene, it's always full of interesting conversations you could jump into. Inside you have your choice, sit on the leather couches alongside the fireplace, stand, sit at the retro style bar table *yes its a full length table in one, made from concrete with plenty of bar stools to find a seat, even easier to jump into a conversation for as long as it lasts or sit comfortably, chat...
Bar 1 is exactly what you’d expect from a solid neighborhood bar. Strong pours that hit the sweet spot—generous but not over the top. Prices are reasonable, and the bartender was perfectly fine, though nothing stood out. It’s not a place for thrills, but it delivers what you want in a local spot. A solid 4 stars.
