Barrio Cafe Sky Harbor

First we waited so long just to order. Our server Lucy told us our party of 2 couldn’t sit at the 4 people table, then proceeded to let a white couple sit there. We ordered the quesadilla barracha and received the chicken quesadilla, and Lucy insisted it was correct instead of owning up to her mistake. Terrible service, just eat somewhere else.

Authentic Mexican food with a creative twist. I tried the cochinita pibil — slow-roasted pork with pickled onions — tender, tangy, and full of depth. The walls are covered in murals, the music is upbeat, and the energy feels pure Phoenix — artsy, warm, and proud.

I’ve eaten here several times when in this airport. All I can tell you is that for airport food and drinks this place hits the mark. I had the Arizona burrito which has pork and it was sooo good. Most places skimp on the meat but not Barrio’s! Cold beer as well!

The salad overall was great. It was the chicken that wasn't good at all. It was packaged frozen and just heated. It had a smell and after taste no one wants, and it lingers.

We got the nachos and asked for a seperate plate for the toppings and it was amazing!!!

I’m not giving the review for the service that was fantastic for me either I was extremely hungry or the food was really good. The waitress was great! However, the circumstances in which were traveling or not planned…. While my husband is finding out details about his mother’s death, mind you It hasn’t even been 24 hours so he was and the manager at 5:12 PM on September 12 came up to me In an aggressive manner, as if it felt like a fight out of nowhere, I explained the nervousness of the situation. I didn’t even know what he was talking about my husband, but I knew it was serious and she continued to bad us.

When in Phoenix Sky Harbor Terminal 4… this is the place to go. Great spot to wait for your flight, enjoy a drink and eat an amazing meal!

This was an amazing experience , especially if you are a solo traveler .
Anna was wonderful! She made me feel like her guest at her home .
I come thru Phoenix 2 can a month and Barrio Cafe will be my new go to while at sky harbor.
Hug nacho chips portion and they offer a beer with a shot, good stuff
