Food was cold. Service was almost nonexistent. My drink was made wrong. Save your time and money.

We were at Phoenix Airport on D1-D8 gate a d came across Barrio Cafe. We decided to have a seat down early dinner. We ordered the 'Tacos Del Beef Brisket' with a salad. It came with 3 small taco like street tacos side. It is kind of weird taste because when you bite into the brisket, you expect bbq sauce but instead some version of pica legally sauce. I also ordered an ice tea. I drink a lot of ice tea. Maybe is in the water, but the ice tea taste weird. Total bill include tip and tax for 1 dish and 1 ice tea $33.00.

I got the Burrito Pollo Poblano and it was absolutely fantastic. I was hungry while waiting on a connecting flight to Las Vegas. It was worth the visit. Waiter was friendly and very efficient.

I sat down at the bar and waited approximately 15. For the bartender to attend me. She seen me but ignored me and didn’t take my order. I said excuse me twice to the bartender and nothing. Another worker came to the bar and I had to raise my voice to her her attention as well. They had served two other couples that approached the bar after I did so this is why I’m leaving their review for them to please work on customer service and be more attentive to they customers.

I was starving and my connecting flight was delayed, and I ordered the posole thinking it would be mediocre but fast (and I do love soup). Holy cow, fresh cabbage, radishes, cilantro, onions, super tender pork, cannot believe how fresh and delicious it was, and not overly salty, though I did add my server’s rec of hot sauce and lime. Glad I risked airport soup. The barrio fries were prob just fries with doused in tajin but I wasn’t mad at them. Will prob regret having to pee on my four-hour flight home, but I have an A boarding pass and can get an aisle seat. I didn’t get a cocktail since I’m on a work trip, but the margs sure looked good. All in all not the worst way to spend $20 and 20 minutes, happy I didn’t settle for a food network bro (Bobby burger or whatever comes out of Guy’s Flavortown).

Ordered take out for 3 entries and 2 kids sides.
All they packed was cheese quesdia and fried in 4 boxes. Quite a surprise in the flight.
Horrible service and worst managers

Ordered Arizona green chile pork burrito with chorizo added and 2 eggs on the side. Huge portions great flavor. Service friendly and super fast. Not sure why the low ratings. Consistently good food and service.

Approached the front who stated they would not seat me as they were “doing last call around now,” 90 min before listed closing time — walked by to my gate 20 min later to see them seat 2 new parties and overheard them talk about the full menu.
Definitely an unfair treatment and absolutely unprofessional.

The food (nachos and posole) were really solid for airport grub! Not your typical Mexican food, on the richer side but plenty tasty. Service was amazing despite the busy holiday rush! Anna the hostess was wonderful, checked in frequently and treated out little one to snacks and a post meal treat.

Walked quite a ways to try the best restaurant in the Phoenix airport. Was surprised that the $30 Enchiladas Suizas don’t taste like anything at all.

Sitting at the bar. I can’t believe the 2 who make my drinks (touching dish-ware) and delivering food are smacking friends and wiping their hands on their pants in FRONT of customers. I’ve been a bartender and this is so sloppy, unsanitary and unprofessional. Also calling about coworkers being fired. Never will I stop by here again. And I travel multiple times a week.
Giving 2 bc the fries and shrimp tacos are good.

Please explain to me how I had the best Chilaquiles of my life at an airport in Phoenix!!?!? Big chunks of pork and fluffy eggs. The salsa was great too!
Very good! I highly recommend!
