A great place to relax, take a nap, watch TV, play video games, work on the computer. And free food, snacks and drinks. Strict entrance policy. Must show military ID. Dependants are allowed. Must be active service or military retired. Veterans who are not retired from the military are not admitted. Food, drinks, snacks are not self served; volunteer will get everything for you. I recently had a layover at the Phoenix airport and decided to stop by the USO, and honestly, I am glad I did. With about a 3 hour layover, it was the perfect place to get away from the noise and crowds of the airport for a bit. The staff and volunteers were extremely welcoming from the moment I walked in. You could tell they genuinely appreciated service members, and that small personal touch really goes a long way when you are traveling.
