I'm Italian and part of our culture is pressing very high expectations on Italian restaurants and always being disappointed. The experience I had at Avanti for my birthday this weekend completely blew away my expectations and involved some of the best food I've had in about 5-6 years. I'm super glad I had the Papardelle - Avanti has had the same pasta chef for over 40 years and it shines through in every bite. The appetizers, bread, salads, all of it was exquisite and stupendous and the environment and decor was soooo retro amazing. Finally the Tiramisu was made by angels. I haven't had a drink in 6 years and I got a slight buzz from it! 😅“

The steak was cooked PERFECTLY - medium rare and more on the rare side. I swapped for risotto, which was everything I imagined it would be. Service was great because they didn’t check in too often and just allowed us to have a relaxing and not rushed dinner. There were only late reservations, but I made a note about wanting earlier and they called me and made it happen!

He continued to check on us and gave us unbelievable service. On Saturday night, need to shout out to Esteban for also being incredible all night long. “Excellent food, a nice place to eat for an airport motel area. Walked from the Marriott Phoenix Airport Motel (five minute walk at most), next time will stay at the Hilton complex. Price may be slightly higher, but access to food is well worth it. The atmosphere of the place is laid back with no high volume, can actually carry on a conversation.“

“One of the three AA clubs is nice. This is the mid-sized club positioned between the tiny club near A19 and the largest club down the B concourse. Excellent, friendly bartenders with generous pours; a pleasure to tip! Guacamole cart in the mornings is a fave.
