Cute small venue, with very a friendly owner and employees. I actually went to see a friend perform, spoken word poetry. There were various artists doing various different things, in about a 4 hour time frame.
This place is amazing! They host creative, thought-provoking events and promote genuine social interaction, while serving super-tasty and healthy mocktails and appetizers. They also carry Bero for those who love the taste of a good beer, but don't want the alcohol. The interior is so comfortable and inviting. I highly recommend you make this the destination for your next evening out in Phoenix!
I love the concept, I love the warmth. No pressure. Just a great place to even come during happy and stay when you don’t feel like going home right away.

Downside Up is an amazing place Ran by wonderful people who always creating amazing experiences for guests. The space feels sweet and welcoming, with a wide variety of events that bring together creative minds from all walks of life. Open mics every second and fourth Thursday and the best karaoke set up draw cool people who want to champion sobriety and meet new friends. The vibe is right no matter the theme or event, and the owners are the BEST kind of people, gracious and accommodating. Mocktails are served up on a menu with piña colaca drink and the Forbidden Balls sweet‑heat flavor. Guests can browse through various curated playlists, change their spot on the queue, and even alter sound settings while singing. Trivia games throughout the night with a reward for the winner. The ambience is intimate and the snacks are a perfect array of choices. Whether looking for a swanky event or a laid back spot to express themselves, this beautiful and inspiring establishment offers good energy, community, and creativity. Try it, you’ll be glad you did.
