This is a pool side bar & grill at Canyon Villas in Phoenix. The mud slide cocktails were below average. The chili dogs were skimpy on the chili. The chicken wings were some of the best I've ever had. Crispy crust and moist on the inside with mango-habenero sauce available. The wife doesn't have wings often but these have become the standard all future wings will be measured against.
Had a chicken, strawberry salad x2. One with raspberry vinegrette, one was supposed to balsamic, but they goofed. The salad tasted weird and we think it was the chicken. Not up to expectations for this caliber of resort. T'was more like Mc Donald's fare. Onion rings were good and were whole onion. You order online which is convenient and pick up at designated time, or place directly at the bar. Sunday there was an attendant taking pool side orders which we appreciated.
Good beer selection and daily drink specials. Get breakfast and lunch at the pool. Marlina was so much fun and a GB Packer fan!! She and the staff worked their tails off. Definitely will be back
