I finally tried this place after living in the area for a long time. It did not disappoint. The Lechon Kawali was so good. It was crispy, rich, and a bit salty. The Lumpia was also delicious with the sweet chili sauce to dip it in. Don’t forget to grab some pastries too, which were also fantastic.

Me and my wife drove from Scottsdale just to have lunch, I ordered pancit malabon, tortang talong and pinakbet. Ordered arrived in a timely manner. And I am so excited to have the pancit so I tried it and with a very big disappointment there's an after taste, I told the server and she told the kitchen personnel a guy approach me and saying that they make it fresh daily and asked that am I familiar to the taste of the pancit malabon? Okay now I am thinking maybe they make it fresh daily but is the ingredients fresh or been sitting on the shelf without proper refrigeration that is why it taste spoiled. Common violations of the restaurant is the proper storage of their food the temperature where they store their ingredients for cooking. That is all I am going to say about that. Thank you for spending your time reading this.

An exquisite gastronomic find at Casa Filipina Bakeshop and Restaurant. The Filipino cuisine is tasty and authentic, and it is expertly prepared. For those looking for rich and homey Filipino cuisine, it's a great option because of the welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. Excellent choice for a fulfilling meal experience.

Was so excited to try this place, as I'm visiting from out of state where we don't have many Filipino dining options. The food was PHENOMENAL! We all ordered different dishes and shared, and loved every single one. We also got an ube cheesecake and flan, which were perfectly not too sweet - so so good!! Planning to stop back in again to get some baked goods before we return home. ?

We are visiting from out of state and wanted to try a couple of Filipino restaurants in surrounding Phoenix area in the short time that we have here in AZ. Casa Filipino is the third restaurant we visited and the experience was not as pleasant as with the other restaurants we have visited so far. The price on their menu was clearly outdated and obsolete since the price that was charged to us when we were ready to pay was about $4-$5 more. Why can’t they have the menu prices changed? It doesn’t cost much to have it changed (at Kinko’s or some other similar place). It’s just annoying to be looking at the prices knowing how much roughly it will cost you to eat a good meal at this place. It felt like being lured and deceived to order menu items supposedly because of the reasonable price being presented only to be surprised by the price change after. Talk about the lack of truth in advertising in their menu prices and it’s so disappointing. Additionally, why can’t they serve tap water? We have bottled water in the car and having to order bottled water because they can’t provide tap water is a bit wasteful (for us).

Quality has definitely gone down. They mostly serve old/watered down dishes. I gave this place three chances. First one meat was tough. It looked like they just pan fried the pork bbq instead of grilling it and basted it with ketchup. Rice tasted old, like it was going to spoil in a few hours. Waited for my order for almost half an hour despite calling ahead. Second time, we got some desserts from here & they were hard, cold and moldy. We figured you know, it happens. Third time, we’ve had enough. Ordered 4 different dishes. All of them tasted old. We couldn’t even eat the rice that came with it because it had that smell that it’s about to spoil in a few hours. It was so strong we couldn’t even eat it. The pancit was fine. Ingredients wise in the dishes we got, all again- tasted old and watered down. Would not come back here. If owner does not shape up or get a different chef/cook, this place will not stay open any longer. Definitely do not recommend.

I'm a little disappointed with this place. How can you look another Filipino in the eye and give him skinless longanisa. Lol. That's like ordering q burger and getting it in lettuce instead of a bun. I'm jappy to find a Filipino place in AZ that has longsilog but they use skinless longanisa.Garlic rice did not taste the most fresh. A few bites had that taste right before rice spoils. Not sure if they reheated the garlic rice for used old white rice. I suspect the latter. This place should do well but it's a little outdated. The food wasn't that bad. The kaldereta was actually pretty good. I think with a little redesign, this place can do well. The food, except skinless longanisa, was very good.
