While visiting Phoenix we went here with our cousin and her husband. We were greeted by Tony and Tess Menendez, the owners and staff at this combined bakery/restaurant, and a very pleasant welcoming couple. The pastries looked good, but we were there for some real food. Between the four of us we ordered chicken adobo, kare-kare, pancit luglug and torta talong along with some lumpia Shanghai for and appetizer. The torta talong was mine and I ate the whole thing, with minimal sharing....
Another year in the books. Fingers and toes are not enough ,well, if you multiply. My girl always picks us a new place to try .First time trying Filipino food, and she ordered a couple entrée plus dessert and drinks, a delicious and refreshing mango juice. Tucked away in the corner is where you'll find the place small, quiet with light jazz playing in the background, very relaxing and enjoyable . Great menu varieties! The food is incredible! This is a hidden gem in the back of the Big Lots shopping center. Right next to the restaurant supply store. Be sure to swing in and try something new.
