Absolutely amazing!
This was such a fun immersive experience! From the moment we walked into the train we really felt like were moving. All of the bartenders said “welcome aboard” which was a great fun touch. We got seated at the bar and loved chatting with our bartender Remi who was very knowledgeable on drinks and shared the story behind each category of drinks. It was a fun and unexpected touch that all of the drinks came in fun glasses and many with a little treat (cookie, chocolate, chips, etc)!
We learned that it's best to come here with a group of 2 or 4 to get a booth/table seating. We were a group of 3 and were seated at the bar. They started us with complimentary champagne for my birthday, which was very sweet. I personally love bars that have a mocktail/non alcoholic section, which this did. The visuals of riding a train through NYC was a nice, immersive touch.
Platform 18 is a unique experience as a quaint speakeasy it tells two stories. Attached to the Century Grand it has a Chinese style platform you can enjoy customized drinks and snack foods. The platform itself features a menu that takes you on a journey with a menu that matches the scenery.
Great date night spot. So immersive you'll want to visit New York City. Our bartender was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and really made the experience a million times better. Drinks were perfect. Can get loud at times which is helpful as otherwise it is tight seating inside and easy to overhear others next to you.
If I could give our bartender, Marti, more than 5 stars I would! This is such a cool concept that is being executed excellently. I will be visiting again!
I am really disappointed that I have to give this 3 stars. My husband and I are in from Toronto, and I wanted to find something unique to do while here. Platform 18 sounded amazing- a trip to New York in 1924 during prohibition.
When we got there and were seated, there was a very loud group next to us so we asked to switch to a booth seat. They said there was a reservation for it, which is confusing because when you book online it says seating is randomly assigned (I even double checked this). So how do people reserve certain seats? They did let us sit there thankfully but said we could only stay for 1hr and 10mins (instead of the 90min experience time) due to another reservation. Fine, no big deal.
That was minor compared to our actual big disappointment. The train did not in fact take us to New York. The scene never changed. It was the Colorado Rockies which they do for two months over the holidays. There was no mention of this on the website when I booked, and I even double checked today and nope. Says it’s going to New York. I was born in Alberta, which is also home to the Rocky Mountains. So instead of getting a trip to New York, I just went back home. I lived there, it’s gorgeous, but I wouldn’t pay for something I’ve already experienced…
It’s a cool concept and had we gotten what I had booked for maybe this would have been great. The service was amazing and the drinks are unique. But to be honest we are pretty upset that we paid for an experience we didn’t receive.

We did not have food, just drinks but this was an amazing experience. With three bars in one area, we chose the train and it did not disappoint. A variety of drinks to choose from. Time seems to fly by there.

Platform 18 is a must visit! The atmosphere is so cool and they regularly change where the train is. We were there during 1920s New York. The cocktails were inventive and delicious. Especially the one inspired by a Shepards Pie. Our conductor, Lily, was fabulous and really made our experience special! I can't wait to come back!

This used to be my favorite of the Century Grand experiences...don't get me wrong, the service is always stellar, but the synthetic, digital "journey" isn't anywhere as cool as the prior video experiences.
The newest menu is not as nuanced at has previously been and it seems that the former attention to detail and prep are lacking under the new management. No shade to the staff, they are always great, but the delicious nuances and creativity have fallen very short on our last couple visits...prices have also taken a steep hike.
I would have to hear about a huge step BACK to the prior philosophy before we plan a trip from Platform 18 again

Enjoyed the cocktails, service, and atmosphere. Would've been even better if hordourves/snacks were available while consuming drinks for 90 minutes!

Went here for a special birthday with a group. When I got the tab I saw staff and benefits charge. When I asked the bartender what this was for he said it was for back of house that makes the chocolates , prep etc. thought it was weird this was what it was called but given that’s what it was didn’t have issue paying it.
later to find out on your menu it says what it actually is - as it’s called - staff benefits change and specifically says can be removed upon request.
Very disappointing that I was deceived by your staff.
We found this entire experience to be fantastic. Thoughtful service, excellent cocktails and a fun atmosphere. Creativity at its best! Remington was a great server.

Absolutely amazing. We took 14 people there for a 50th birthday party. The space is very cozy and fun. The staff was great at giving suggestions on drinks. Definitely a "just GO" kind of place.
