This place has the best ham and cheese I’ve had. Also, the espresso glazed donut is absolutely heavenly! Their pastries and donuts are slow fermented, made with sourdough, so they’re easier to digest if you have gluten sensitivities! HIGHLY recommend!!! Markezza is always so helpful, but the whole staff are really friendly - cool vibe. The owner, Mark, is so kind, and is a James Beard nominee and you can see why when you bite into literally anything there. :) it’s all delicious.
I waited to review after my third visit because I didn't want to be too harsh (and Peixoto is my favorite coffee shop in Phoenix, so I wanted to love it here!), but I haven't been impressed with the baked goods. Wow, this place is fantastic. I got a drink and a variety of pastries. I tried the seasonal lemon poppyseed matcha and it was a really nice balance of sweet and grassy. The quiche is really creamy and delicious. All the croissants are laminated to perfection. The donuts and cardamom bun have a lovely texture and balance of flavors. You can't go wrong here.
