It aint like Katz's in New York City, but it's good! Gargantuan selection and an onsite complex bakery that has the best bagels in the valley!

The food is everything you'd want. I go several times a month with a friend on Friday nights. We rotate different places, but Chompie's is our favorite. I get the soup & sliders because I love their pastrami and chicken soup is good for you! The latkes, the pickles, the bagels, the lox....so good. The staff is always on their game and a special shout out to Sam who is, somehow, always in a good mood. No dis on the other servers- they're all good too.Parking: It used to be a Big Lots, so it's a big parking lot and there aren't any other businesses there to compete for parking.

I enjoy Chompies! We used to go to the Shea location for breakfast all the time but have been frequenting the Cactus location more recently and it does not disappoint. My partner had the Pastrami breakfast bagel sandwich and I had the La Jolla Salad. They were very accommodating in changing our seating as well when a big party was being seated right next to us.

This Chompies is a huge building. Full bar, too. As usual, it is delicious and way more food than I can eatParking: There is plenty of open parking

First and foremost....The prices are ridiculous. Two pastrami sandwiches and two ice teas plus tip $60+. For this alone I will not go back. But....the sandwiches were incredibly dry...the bread tasted old and the pastrami was dry and falling apart into little pieces. There was hardly any thousand island dressing on the sandwich (had to ask for extra), which I then realized had absolutely no flavor, and next to no sauerkraut on the sandwich either. For a $25 sandwich, it was beyond disappointing. I guess I was just comparing it to the sandwich I used to get at Miracle Mile, at Park Central, years ago which were absolutely delicious.

Way overpriced. When I asked our waitress for bread options for the Monte Cristo she said it was pre-made and couldn't be changed and the finished product was way too sweet. Their version of the Philly Cheese Steak was lackluster.

I'm absolutely shocked at the negative reviews! We went for breakfast on a Friday morning. The place on E Cactus is beautiful and spacious, there was a zero wait for a table, and our waitress was very attentive, informative and friendly. The food was great and cooked just the way we like. We will return!

Great sandwiches! So big we had to share but the meat is so delicious! They have a great little bakery/coffee shop too!

The best pastrami and corned beef. Love the bread. We normally order the sliders and take home cookies or other desserts.

Great deli for the West. Tasty, large portions, good variety. Nice indoor and outdoor seating.
