The Compass Reviews
My husband & I went there on our last night in Phoenix for a special dinner--wanted to enjoy the elegance of a exclusive restaurant. Unfortunately the only thing elegant was the ambiance of the wonderful views. We ordered the shrimp & grits-and the land & sea entrée (requested steak to be cooked medium-well).The meal was luke warm at best when it was served to us, the server took the meal back to the kitchen where they only warmed it up-making the steak too done for me.The server...read full review
Food looks and taste good. My steak, creamed potato, and shrimp came out cold. When they took it back the recooked my steak, which took it from medium to well done. Great ambiance and views, but definitely not worth the prices they changing for this experience. The land and sea came with 3 shrimps. Manager Michelle was not very useful at all.
Amazing view, and the steak and cocktails are delicious! Anyone searching for a special occasion should absolutely consider it, in my opinion. Definitely a great experience!

The Compass is a restaurant that offers a unique dining experience with its rotating platform, allowing diners to enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline. The atmosphere features a cool experience and great service, with cocktails and complimentary chocolates at the end of the meal. While the ambiance and views are stunning, the food can be inconsistent, with some dishes coming out cold or needing a better sear. The steak and scallops, for example, often require improvements in preparation. The restaurant's prices reflect the experience and views, though some feel the food is just fine and not always worth the cost. Service is generally attentive and polite, with helpful recommendations from staff. The restaurant also offers convenient valet parking for $10 and is accessible for guests in wheelchairs. Overall, The Compass provides a positive dining experience, though it may not always meet expectations of a "classy" establishment.
