Good coffee. Excellent food. The breakfast bagels are a real treat. The service is always super friendly. It's not open late, but a great choice for breakfast to lunch. The lines can get long but always keep moving.
This is more than a coffee and bagel spot - this is a community space where the workers take the time and care to make everyone feel welcomed and safe. Not only is the atmosphere the best of any coffee spot I've ever been to, but the coffee and the food, especially the transcendent baked goods, are delicious to the max. I tried Copper Star for a bagel sandwich after hearing great things, and while the flavors were good, the bagel itself was too dense and smaller than I expected. The friendly service and cozy indoor-outdoor seating definitely made the visit enjoyable though.
