I’m a little sad this place wasn’t full on a Saturday night, because the pizza here is seriously underrated. Phoenix has some great pizza spots, and this is among the best. Their thin crust is exactly how I like it: a light, flavorful tomato sauce that drips as you bite into the thin, charred, cracker‑like crust. The dough is perfectly chewy, and all the ingredients taste fresh. Excellent service and a large spacious, and stylish building. Highly recommend!

I really like this pizza place and honestly I’m surprised it’s not always packed, because it truly deserves to be. The pizza is consistently good every single time I go — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can tell they care about quality. The chef is super polite and funny, which makes the whole experience even better, and the waitress is also very cool and respectful. The salad tastes amazing too, fresh and well-seasoned, not just an afterthought. Overall, it’s a great spot with good vibes and delicious food. I definitely recommend it.

Category: Gastropub. The 7th Street outpost of this Fox pizza and chicken joint has a modern pub vibe, with leather banquettes and wooden tables, hanging shaded lights, tile floor, well-placed but not overwhelming TVs, and hightops with comfy-backed stools. It has the kind of bar where we like to dine: central, honey-colored wood-topped with steel racks of bottles above, and rectangular so we can people watch around the bar and around the restaurant. If you want a table, choose one in the dining room surrounding the bar or on the spacious indoor/outdoor patio, with heaters and festive strings of Edison bulbs. The sliding glass walls were open on our most recent visit, so the indoor and outdoor dining areas seemed like one large space. The restaurant has glass walls on two sides, a kitchen window along one side, and an art and memento wall along the other side. The wine list offered four $50 or under reds (our sweet spot for restaurant wines). As for the menu, there’s a lot of Dough but it’s a bit short on Bird. Sarah loved the rustic chicken pot pie, which was big enough for dinner and lunch over the next day or two. Same for the roasted chicken, which was half of a bird, with mashed potatoes and gravy. I substituted the crispy Brussels Sprouts (excellent and generous) for the broccolini. I had enough leftovers for next-day lunch. I was surprised that Sarah didn’t order one of the unique pizzas, which earned the coveted SSPA (Sarah Seal of Pizza Approval) on prior visits. Next time. Suggestions: add more bird to the menu, maybe a legacy dish. I believe you once had a good chicken curry dish. Also, I suggest serving some ranch dressing or some other sauce (Toum? -- see my Sauces to Die For lesson) with the roasted chicken. YouTube's Chef's Apprentice

The food is so incredibly average and I do not understand why it is so overpriced. You can get similar food anywhere really. The pizza tastes exactly like what you’d get from the Pizza Hut case at the front of a target, but at least that doesn’t have burnt pepperonis like this one does.

Took a seat at the bar on a Saturday. The bartenders Margo, Gina, and Johnny were amazing. So friendly and attentive. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant! Rotisserie chicken and the espresso martini are 10/10

The rotisserie chicken didn’t really taste any different than Sam’s Club whole chicken. For $22. I expected more out of it. The pizza was very good though, I really enjoyed how the crust is bubbly and has huge air pockets. The prime rib sandwich was pretty mediocre at best, bread was not crispy and not soft, kind of in the middle. The prime rib was just not memorable. I did enjoy the French fries, great crisp to them. The Detroit pizza was solid.

Our party had pizza and roasted chicken. Both were delicious! We liked that you could pick the crust you prefer and the chicken dinner was like Sunday dinner at home with a creative upgrade.

We celebrated my sister's anniversary here at Dough Bird, and it was amazing! Our server Taylor was amazing and very knowledgeable of the menu. The food was fantastic! Taylor also helped us celebrate by providing a dessert on the house! Way to go Taylor, and great job Dough Bird for having such great employees!!!!!
